Didier and Christine Hellio's Farm Shop have a huge variety of different pumpkins, all edible, available at their farm shop In St Ouen. Joe Freire Genuine Jersey Produce stall at the top of Mont Cochon has plenty too, along with lots of other seasonal locally grown produce. And, Master Farms are offering you the chance to pick your own pumpkin and potatoes this weekend, and you can navigate their Maize maze too!
Have a great time carving your pumpkins.

Quite literally! Types of granite, or grannit in JΓ¨rriais, can be seen in almost every corner of Jersey. Formed hundreds of millions of years ago by molten rock cooling and solidifying between the Earthβs surfaces, this intrusive rock has stood the test of time.
Jersey granite has been used as a building material for thousands of years to build walls, slipways, places of worship, schools, houses and traditional farm buildings like the one pictured at Manor Farm, St Ouen (Didier and Christine Hellio's Farm Shop).
Look out for granite features when you are out and about.

Features like an arch, or ussβsie in JΓ¨rriais, can be seen around the Island in old buildings. This example is one found at Didier and Christine Hellio's Farm Shop ~ Manor Farm La Route de Vinchelez in St Ouen ~ a farm which is still used to grow delicious Genuine Jersey produce today.
Can you guess where these others are?

A fresh fruit and vegetable stall, best known for selling the tastiest and cheapest Jersey Royals in Jersey. All produce is seasonal!
Please note that we only take cash. Christine and Didier Hellio are a husband and wife team growing a range of crops at their farm in St Ouen. They supply fresh vegetables to a range of outlets on the Island as well as their own farm stall. We are both from farming backgrounds and have been married and working together for 27 years. We are, I think, the only husband and wife team in agriculture on

We are so proud of our amazing workers, whether it's our employees who have become family after 25+ years, our recent Filipino employees who are so kind or our own family members working their annual leave at Christmas.
We all work together extremely hard in the fields and we will always continue to supply our beautiful island with the freshest veg we can.

We hope all of our customers and friends have had a wonderful Christmas and let's hope for better times in 2021!
Thank you so much for supporting us and our farm over the last year and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon πΎ

Lots of different sizes, we'll post more details including price closer to the time! π

It's a little bit windy up here in St Ouen, but this weekend is the perfect time to buy and carve your pumpkins in readiness for Halloween! π
We also have spooky yellow carrots on sale (Didier's little accident!) - they taste lovely, just a little bit sweeter than your orange ones π₯

If you're coming down to the farm this weekend to collect your pumpkin, remember we have a great selection of vegetables and lots of potatoes for your Sunday roast!

Hello! It's that time again - it's pumpkin season! π€ͺ
Despite tougher weather conditions this year, we have LOTS of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes! We have yellow, green, white and of course orange ones!
And here's the important info -
π We are open every day, until about 4.30/5ish.
π Please bring cash, as we do not take card.
π Please park near the top of the farm, to leave plenty of space for everyone else (and our tractors!)
π This is our busiest time of the year (yep, more than Christmas!), so please bear with us, with getting change, replying to messages etc.
And lastly, a big thank you for sticking with us and keeping an eye on Christine and Didier over the last few months! We are VERY grateful for your support ππ
Hi everyone - hope all of our customers and friends are keeping well and healthy. We are getting a lot of messages re: deliveries, unfortunately we have too much on our hands already to offer home deliveries. We are really sorry! Thank you so much to everyone for practicing social distancing when they visit - most people sit in their cars and wait so that there isnβt more than two people at the shop at one time, and everyone is bringing correct change, so THANK YOU! Stay healthy everyone. X
Hi everyone - it's Didier and Christine's daughter here, Natalie.
My parents are, as they always have done, working around the clock to make sure everyone has all the fresh veg they need, and we really appreciate people thinking of us to get their veg. For the benefit of all of our customers, we just want to remind everyone to practice social distancing when they come and get their veg at the shop. We want the farm to be comfortable for everyone to visit when they get their veg, and social distancing is currently the best way to guarantee this. At this time, correct change is also greatly appreciated (but of course, not necessary).
Thanks again everyone - my parents will no doubt be working hard all of next week to make sure the shop, and the local food halls, are stocked up with their veg.

Merry Christmas to all of our customers! Thank you for your support and custom, it is very much appreciated and we look forward to seeing you in 2020! π²π β€οΈ

Happy Christmas from the Hellioβs! This year we are kitted out in our Xmas jumpers. We still have loads of produce left (including fresh parsley grown on the farm which weβve been told is sold out at lots of shops!). See you tomorrow for any last minute bits! π₯π₯¦π₯¬π₯π§

We are in full Xmas mode here at the farm! We have all the veg you need for the big day next week - and the whole family is on hand to help. We hope to see you! π

π²π²π²After the pumpkin madness, it's now time for CHRISTMAS TREES! π²π²π²
Our Christmas trees have now arrived and we're ready to help you pick one!
Each tree is a Nordmann Fir and ranges from 4ft to 8ft. We can pack the tree in a net for you but unfortunately due to how busy we are, we cannot deliver.
As always, we accept cash or cheque. Looking forward to seeing you! π

Last minute pumpkin shopping?! These are the ones weβve handpicked this morning, still loads to choose from! Thanks to all our customers who have visited us for their pumpkins - your custom and loyalty means a lot. π
Happy Friday everyone! Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend π We've had a couple of questions recently:
1) Yes, we do have LOTS of pumpkins left, of all shapes, sizes and prices; and
2) All of our pumpkins are grown by us, completely locally in St Ouen. We don't buy any of our pumpkins in and each one is planted, tended and picked by us!
ππππ

More pumpkin updates - the Kids Rock page have got some great shots of all the different boxes of pumpkins we sell π the smaller pumpkins seem to be super popular for decorations! For those that donβt want to carve, why donβt you use marker pens, glitter, or paint to decorate your pumpkins π
How amazing are these?! And the mini pumpkins are just 60p EACH!! Head up to Didier and Christine Hellio's Farm Shop to get your pumpkins ASAP! π

Soooo guys, you know when we said we have loads of pumpkins... these are just the pumpkins we picked today! Your regular orange ones, small orange, small white, biiiig white ones, knobbly orange ones, knobbly orange ones with black bits. π
Come and choose your pumpkin! We have all our usual fresh veg on sale as well.

πππ PUMPKINS! Itβs our favourite time of year - we have every kind of pumpkin under the sun for you to come and choose! Looking forward to seeing you!
- -
Ps. These little ladies were helping us out moving the pumpkins from the field to the farm. We unfortunately canβt allow access to pick the pumpkins directly from the field for health and safety reasons!

We only went and won the award for Ambassador of the Year at the Pride of Jersey Awards! Not sure what was more of a shock - winning or Christine and Didier having to dress up!
Thank you so much for your votes and in particular to John Garton. It is so lovely to be nominated and win! πΎπ
