Lambo has been waiting for 95 days. Five more days and she’ll hit the 100-day mark. 💔

Lambo came into Eleventh Hour Rescue’s care on June 18, but her story started long before that. She was rescued from another rescue in Georgia, so the amount of time she has spent waiting for a forever home is actually even longer.

And in those 95 days? Only TWO adoption applications have been submitted for her. Neither one made it all the way to an adoption.

We just don’t understand how this girl is still waiting. 🥺

At just about 1 year old and 44 pounds, Lambo is the perfect size — big enough for adventures, but compact enough to fit into just about any lifestyle.

Animals can only go home with approved adopters on the day of the event.
So, if PUPtoberfest is on your adoption calendar, get your application submitted ASAP!

🐾 Not sure if which dog or cat you want to adopt yet? That’s totally okay! Your application can be used for any dog with a dog application or any cat with a cat application.

Meet Shadow, Brownie, Cookie & Frodo — four adorable siblings with four VERY different personalities! 🐱💕

🩶 Shadow is the mellow one. He’s a true lap cat who would happily spend his day curled up with you, purring while you give him gentle pets. Quiet, sweet, social, and always up for a little playtime with his siblings.

🖤 Brownie is our little explorer! He loves chasing toys and getting into kitten adventures, but once playtime is over, he’s ready to curl up in your lap for a cozy nap.

🖤 Cookie is the cuddle queen! Put her in your arms and the purring starts immediately. She loves being held, soaking up attention, and watching her brothers play from the comfort of your lap.

🤎 Frodo is the happy, affectionate guy who will trot right over to greet you with purrs, cuddles, and even little kisses! He’s playful, loving, and always ready for a game with his siblings.

All four are 4-month-old Domestic Short Hair kittens born April 21, 2026.

🐾 DOXSON ATHENS
1-year-old • Lab mix • 41–50 lbs
Sweet, affectionate, and basically a 41-pound shadow. Doxson loves his people, loves pets, and will happily follow you around just to be close. He’s lived with kids, dogs & cats and is ready to leave his escape-artist days behind for a family with a secure yard!

🐾 RUE ATHENS
6-year-old • Cattle Dog/Pointer mix • 45–50 lbs
Calm, affectionate, smart, and FULL of good manners. Rue knows sit, down, shake & spin, walks beautifully on leash, and is house and crate trained. She’s lived with kids, dogs & cats and is the definition of an easygoing sweetheart. ❤️

🐾 YENNEFER ATHENS
1-year-old • Mixed breed • 41–50 lbs
A little shy at first, but once she warms up, this girl is all about the love! Yennefer is playful, loves toys, does well with other dogs, and already knows sit. She’s the perfect mix of playful pup and affectionate cuddle bug. 🥰

All three are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to start their next chapter.

🚨 WE HAVEN’T FORGOTTEN THE 40. HAVE YOU? 💔

When roughly 40 dogs were dumped from a truck in Sussex County last March, New Jersey was heartbroken. People were angry, devastated, and desperate to help these dogs who had come from a horrible hoarding situation.

Michael Phelps and Lima were two of those survivors. They were transported to safety, and since then, they’ve spent months learning that people can be kind and that they don’t have to be afraid anymore.

Michael was so terrified when rescuers found him that he swam across an entire pond to escape. For over a month, he wouldn’t let anyone touch him. Today, he’s a goofy, playful 10-pound snuggle bug who loves dogs, toys and running around.

Lima is his quieter counterpart—sweet, gentle and shy, but slowly learning to trust.
And yet, months later, they are still waiting.

How can the story that once had everyone asking, “How can I help?” become so quiet?

These boys don't need rescuing anymore. They need someone to choose them. ❤️

Over the years, Kylo Lonestar has seen so many of his kennelmates come and go. Most have been adopted, now snoozing on comfy couches and playing in their yards while Kylo remains, spending his years in a dog run. Kylo gets lots of love and attention at our kennel, but he still wonders why he doesn’t have a forever family of his own.

Kylo is a gorgeous, sweet, lovable boy who came to us in very bad shape. He had a broken jaw and a bad skin condition. Once healed, he was adopted, but then returned. Kylo can be nervous meeting new people but once he warms up, he’s your best friend and favorite 45-pound lap dog. He can also be protective of his home, especially when guests come over. But Kylo is happy to be put in another room, away from the commotion, to relax with a white noise machine (we’ll supply it!) while company is visiting.

What’s great about Kylo:

•Active and playful
•Intelligent and food-motivated
•Joyful, goofy and loving
•Good with other dogs

Also, Kylo frequently has sleepovers at the home of his favorite volunteer, and we’re happy to report that he’s always a considerate houseguest and wonderful boy!

Kylo just turned seven. Our wish for our Ky-guy was to for him to not spend another birthday at the kennel.
