For those of you that don’t know I also ride and train horses. I say all the time that horse training and dog training are very similar. This video of my clients dog, Teddy, really showcases the similarity 🤣🏇🐶
~Teddy is a 6mo old large breed mix puppy that is learning how to behave nicely before he gets the size of Clifford The Big Red Dog, except he’ll be “Teddy The Big Black Dog” lol! Anyway, in this video we are working on getting him to listen to the martingale collars corrections. He has been pushing straight through the martingales so we are doing a tandem leash set up with a prong collar and a martingale collar. We use voice first, then the martingale, then the prong collar. Each step we give him a 10-15yr one window before asking him again to not pull. He’s responding very well and will be back to using just the martingale in no time! Stay tuned to see future updates of Teddy!
