Anche quest’anno avrò il piacere e l’onore di far parte della giuria di questo concorso…
16ª edizione, 16º anno che ci sono.

Se ci penso, è un viaggio lungo fatto di volti, emozioni, sogni e tantissime note. In tutti questi anni ho visto passare davvero tanti giovani strumentisti: alcuni hanno proseguito con determinazione il loro percorso musicale, altri hanno preso strade diverse… ma ognuno di loro ha lasciato qualcosa.

Perché partecipare a un concorso non è solo vincere o perdere. È mettersi in gioco, affrontare le proprie paure, crescere, ascoltare e ascoltarsi. È un momento che resta, comunque vada.

E ogni anno, seduto lì ad ascoltare, mi ricordo quanto sia prezioso quel coraggio, quella passione pura che solo i giovani sanno portare sul palco.

Non vedo l’ora di vivere ancora una volta tutto questo. 🎶

I’m truly excited to finally share the video of the concert in Athens this past February with the Aktapha Ensemble 🎶

This piece was written for them, step by step, at the end of months of intense collaboration within an international project that gave me so much, both artistically and personally.
It has been a journey of exchange, listening, research, and shared growth.

Akthapa is an extraordinary ensemble, not only for the quality and energy of their performances, but for the genuine passion with which they support and promote new music.

I’m deeply happy and grateful to have been able to contribute, in my own small way, with this work.

About four years ago I shared this video: the beautiful performance by the outstanding Silvia Cignoli of a piece I wrote for electric guitar, conceived and developed with her as the performer in mind.

It’s a piece I care deeply about—one of those rare cases where the meeting between composer and performer doesn’t just make the music “work,” but truly helps it grow.

The interpretation here is not just a rendering, but a creative contribution: it adds, shapes, clarifies… and in a way improves the piece itself, taking it beyond what I had originally imagined.🎶

Viviamo in un tempo in cui tutto ha un costo, e spesso sembra che non sia mai il momento giusto per permettersi qualcosa in più.

Eppure ci sono scelte che vanno oltre il prezzo.
La musica, l’arte, la crescita personale: sono esperienze che formano, che restano, che danno valore per tutta la vita.

Per questo sono felice di condividere che quest’anno avrò il piacere di tenere un corso di perfezionamento chitarristico in una cornice unica come Cortina d’Ampezzo. Un’esperienza speciale, fatta di studio, ispirazione e bellezza.

Credo davvero che valga la pena investire nei propri figli, nelle loro passioni, nel loro futuro.

Perché ciò che ricevono attraverso l’arte non si misura, ma si porta dentro per sempre. 🎶✨

The Sweet Passion program explores eight different forms of love. It addresses love as it can manifest itself throughout a relationship.

These aspects of love were brought together by the oboe ensemble La Petite Écurie
along with soprano Miriam Feuersinger, who comes from the world of musical theater
and cantatas, as well as Passion music by George Frideric Handel, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Henry Purcell.

Each form of love is preceded by a short contemporary work,
each reflecting a specific theme. The ensemble La Petite Écurie launched a call for electronic music for this purpose.
Composers from around the world responded. Eight were selected.
