Laghat è un puledro bellissimo, nato per correre. L’ottima genealogia fanno di lui un futuro campione ma una br**ta malattia stravolge la sua vita, menomandolo per sempre. Il suo potrebbe essere un triste destino già segnato, ma la passione e l’amore delle persone che incontra nella sua vita gli consentiranno di diventare un cavallo eccezionale.
Questa storia vera, ben raccontata nel romanzo di Enrico Querci è il punto di partenza del film. Al destino di Laghat abbiamo aggiunto quello di un giovane Jockey, talentuoso e ribelle: Andrea (interpretato da Lorenzo Guidi) che, grazie a questo purosangue speciale, avvierà un percorso di crescita sportiva e personale.
