WorldClimaps is an interactive map that shows what is happening on our planet due to climate change and which climate actions are being taken around the globe.

What does the migration of the butterfly population in Mexico have to do with Climate Change? And how is the crisis in Syria related to global warming? In an evermore complex and interconnected world, the answers to such questions are becoming equally sophisticated,
requiring solutions that can only be solved by a collaborative global community. WorldClimaps is an interactive map that provides you

Unleashing the power of community renewable energy 14/02/2019

This booklet explains how new EU renewable energy legislation could be used to unleash a wave of fossil-free community energy across Europe.

Bringing examples from across Europe, it shows how the new EU renewable energy directive - which enshrines new rights for communities, local authorities and citizens to generate and sell their own energy - can help to remove barriers to community renewables. It gives practical steps and resources for action.

WorldClimaps is honoured to announce its partnership with the Climate Reality!

It’s time to break the silence on what climate change means for us.

Fossil fuels are driving the climate crisis and threatening the health of our families and communities. Extreme weather on the rise. Infectious diseases spreading. Our food and water increasingly at risk. And yet, far too few people are talking about it.

It’s time to get our leaders and people everywhere talking about this threat. And for 24 hours straight on December 3–4, Climate Reality will do just that!

Hosted by former Vice President Al Gore, the global live broadcast : we’ll share this message of hope with stories of individuals, communities, and businesses in key countries working to break free of fossil fuels and shape a healthier and more prosperous future for us all.

*Stay tuned, we're going live in 6 hours!* 🤩

The Climate Change Threat From Methane 28/10/2018

The Arctic may be free of ice for the first time in 10,000 years.

Prof. Peter Wadhams is the UK’s most experienced sea ice scientist, with 48 years of research on sea ice and ocean processes in the Arctic and the Antarctic. This has focused on expeditions and measurements in the field, which has involved more than 50 expeditions to both polar regions, working from ice camps, icebreakers, aircraft, and, uniquely, Royal Navy submarines (6 submerged voyages to the North Pole ).

Before and after Hurricane Walaka: Hawaii's East Island vanishes 26/10/2018

“I uttered a swear word. I had a ‘holy cow!’ moment, somewhat in disbelief that it had disappeared,” said Chip Fletcher, a professor of earth sciences at the University of Hawaii.

A piece of the United States has been dramatically wiped off the map after an island in Hawaii was washed away by a powerful hurricane.
