Polishing and satin brushing are the two operations that decide how a hinge ends up looking, and most of them are still done by hand, one piece at a time. 🕰️
Mirror polish needs specific compounds and washing. Satin needs brushing in a single direction, or the grain will end up showing on the final product.
It’s slow. It’s also the reason our brass hardware looks the way it does after ten years. 👌🏻
