Nowruz is the Persian New Year, celebrated with the arrival of spring. One of the most important traditions is the Haft-Sin table, which includes seven symbolic items, all starting with the letter “S.” Each element represents concepts such as life, health, prosperity, and love. This tradition reflects the hope for a new beginning filled with happiness and optimism.
The Haft-Sin table includes seven symbolic elements:
• 🌱 Sabzeh (sprouts) → symbol of rebirth and growth
• 🍯 Samanu (wheat pudding) → symbol of strength and abundance
• 🍂 Senjed (oleaster fruit) → symbol of love and wisdom
• 🧄 Seer (garlic) → symbol of health and protection
• 🍎 Seeb (apple) → symbol of beauty and well-being
• 🔴 Somāq (sumac) → symbol of sunrise and the victory of light over darkness
• 🍶 Serkeh (vinegar) → symbol of patience and maturity
These elements represent important values for starting the new year with positive energy.
