Announcement No. 3 of the Headquarters for Commemorating the Bloody Ascension of the Martyr Mujahid Imam, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

> “Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their vow, and some are still waiting, and they have never changed in the least.” (Qur’an 33:23)

Following the bloody ascension of the esteemed religious authority of the Shi'a world, the wise leader of the Islamic Revolution and standard-bearer of the Front of Truth and Resistance, Martyr Mujahid Imam Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei (may Allah sanctify his pure soul), the Islamic world is mourning the loss of a great man who devoted his entire blessed life to the elevation of truth, the defense of Islam, service to the people, and the guidance of the Islamic Ummah.

This martyred leader, through unwavering faith, sincere struggle, steadfast patience, and divine insight, always kept aloft the banner of Iran’s independence and the guidance and dignity of the Islamic nation. The name and memory of this unique figure of his era shall remain forever in the history of Iran, the Islamic world, and in the hearts of free people across the globe.

The Headquarters for Commemorating the Bloody Ascension of Martyr Mujahid Imam Grand Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah elevate his noble station), while extending condolences to Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), to the Supreme Leader of the Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, and to all free nations and followers of the path of truth, expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation for the passionate and loyal presence of the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran and all lovers of Islam and the Revolution.

In continuation of the previous announcements and in accordance with the plans that have been made, the public is informed that the farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies for the pure body of the Martyr Mujahid Imam and his family members—Dr. Mesbah al-Hoda Bagheri Kani, Seyyedeh Boshra Hosseini Khamenei, Zahra Haddad Adel, and Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani (may Allah be pleased with them all)—will be held as follows:

Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, 2026 (19th and 20th of Muharram): Farewell ceremonies at Imam Khomeini Mosalla, Tehran.

Monday, July 6, 2026 (21st of Muharram): Funeral procession in Tehran.

Tuesday, July 7, 2026 (22nd of Muharram): Funeral procession in the holy city of Qom.

Thursday, July 9, 2026 (24th of Muharram and the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sajjad, peace be upon him): Funeral procession in Mashhad and burial at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (peace be upon him).

All honorable citizens, free people of the world, followers of the Islamic school of thought, and those who love Iran are invited to participate in these magnificent ceremonies and bid farewell to this martyred leader.

Finally, while expressing gratitude for the extensive preparations and planning undertaken by the responsible institutions and public groups for holding this event, it is emphasized that the principal role in organizing these ceremonies will belong to the noble and ever-present people, as the true owners of this mourning. God willing, a magnificent and unparalleled example of a people's event will be witnessed.
