🧠 MRS Sequence in MRI (Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy)

📌 What is MRS?
MRS stands for Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy.
It is a technique used to detect chemical changes in body tissues, especially the brain.

🧪 What does MRS measure?

It shows a spectrum (graph) of various metabolites like:
• NAA (N-acetylaspartate) → Neuronal health
• Choline (Cho) → Cell membrane turnover
• Creatine (Cr) → Energy metabolism
• Lactate → Anaerobic metabolism (may indicate tumor or stroke)

Each peak on the spectrum corresponds to a specific metabolite.

✅ High Cho → Tumor or demyelination
✅ Low NAA → Neuronal loss

يتم الفحص على عده سكونسات:-
🔹Native : لرؤية الصورة الطبيعيه للمريض اذا كانت هناك غازات في الامعاء او حجم الحصى يكون واضح في الصورة الاولية وذلك لكثافتها مثل حصى ال oxlate stone
🔹Direct : يجي ان يكون الحقن سريع بمده لا تتجاوز ال30ثانية لتحديد قشرة الكلى و التاكد من الاطار الخارجي للكلى و موقعها
🔹After 5 -10 min: يتم معرفه كفاءه عمل النفرون المسؤول عن تصفيه الدم من الاملاح والسموم . هذا وقت مناسب لمعرفه وصول الماده الملونه للحالب وافراز الكلى للحالب
🔹After 15-30 min :- وقت ممتاز اذا تم وصول الماده من الحالب الى المثانه بعض الاوقات يستغرق وقت اطول اذا كانت كفاءه الكلى غير قادر على الافراز
🔹Postvoiding :- ويفضل ان يتم اخذ الصورة اثناء التدرر خصوصا للاطفال لمعرفه اذا هناك وجود رجوع للبول من المثانه الى الحالب ومعرفه كمية البول المتبقيه داخل المثانه بعد التدرر الكامل للمريض. ‏ #أشعة

الجهاز البولي له عدة فحوصات تعتمد على نوع المرض و العضو المصور ،تختلف بين الاشعه بعده فحوصات و المفراس و تمتد للرنين المغناطيسي من اشهر فحوصات الجهاز البولي في الاشعه فحص يسمى (Intravenous pyelography (IVP و غيرها من الفحوصات التي سوف نتطرق لها بلتفصيل واذا ما كانت تلك الفحوصات لم تكفي سوف نختار المفراس الحلزوني ، و ما السبب وراء اختيار الرنين المغناطيسي؟ #‏ #أشعة

Radiogical technique :-
•3 phase dynamic liver (Arterial -portal-delay)
• 70cc CM with 3.5 flow rate
•20cc normal saline with 3 flow rate
