Google Ads Updates Medicines Policy Regarding Prescription Drug Terms
Google Ads is updating its Healthcare and Medicines policy regarding the use of prescription drug terms in ad text and landing pages.
Effective October 29, 2025, the updated policy will permit advertisers to use prescription drug terms in ad copy and on landing pages for non-promotional purposes, such as public health announcements or academic publications.
Important Clarification from Google Ads Liason, Ginny Marvin:
Keyword Targeting Certification is still required. The policy update does not change the existing requirement for advertisers to be certified to use prescription drug terms for keyword targeting.
The approach to keyword targeting remains the same; the change only addresses the use of these terms in the ad content itself.

The New SEO: Earning AI’s Confidence, Not Just Climbing the Ranks
To thrive in the age of AI, content must speak the language of machines—think crisp summaries, bullet points, and structured data. The clearer your content, the more likely AI will treat you as the source, not just one of many.
Forget chasing clicks and traffic. Those metrics belong to the old internet. In the world of AI-driven search, you don’t compete for position—you either are the answer, or you’re nowhere to be found.
Here’s the truth: visibility today means being cited, not ranked. Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity don’t list results—they deliver conclusions. If they don’t trust your content, you’re not part of the conversation.
