What an incredible moment for our debut production! We’re beyond excited to share that Channa has taken home a SmallRig Award after standing out amongst a competitive field of international submissions. Adding to this incredible moment, our very own Director had the distinct privilege of collecting the award from none other than Oscar-winning Ruby Yang! A truly unforgettable night for our team.

From 120+ countries and 50+ languages, a stunning 3,891 films were submitted to the Smallrig Awards 2025. Only 97 made it to the finals.
Among them, 5 proud entries are from India — and just 1 from Karnataka.
That one is Channa. A story from our soil. A moment of pride for Kannada cinema.
