For what lies behind you and what lies in front of you matters little when compared to what lies within you.

When I admire the wonder of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in worship of the Creator. ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Today, I learned something new and beautiful about emotional safety in the body.
It was through a podcast by Dr. Nicole LePera — someone I deeply admire. She spoke about how we can create emotional safety through simple, natural experiences.
She shared that there are three types of emotional safeties we can offer our bodies — and one of them is through nature.
Nature includes anything that gently brings us back to the present moment — sunlight, plants, soil, water, wind, even fire.
These natural elements help our body feel grounded, calm, and safe.
So how can we connect with nature to create emotional safety?
We can watch the sunrise or the sunset and let the warm light touch our skin.
We can feel the soft wind brushing against us.
We can listen to the birds chirping, touch the leaves, smell the flowers.
We can walk barefoot on grass, feel the cold dew in the morning, or let the soil run through our fingers.
We can sit beside a tree, hug it, talk to it, or simply rest in its presence.
We can touch the water — splash it on our face, soak our feet in it, or just feel its coolness on our skin.
We can even appreciate the shape, texture, and color of flowers — the art of nature itself.
And in all this beauty around us — we can remember that we are part of nature too.
So, we can learn to appreciate ourselves the same way — gently, lovingly, patiently.
Writing all this out loud feels so nourishing.
While I write, I can actually feel these sensations in my body —
like I’m experiencing them for real.
And that, I think, is the magic of reconnecting with nature.
It doesn’t just soothe the mind — it helps the body feel safe again.

True self-discovery begins when you step beyond your comfort zone and embrace discomfort. If you ever feel like an imposter, take it as a sign—you’re in the right place. Growth isn’t found in familiarity; it thrives in the spaces that challenge and transform you, pushing you beyond your current limits.
