This photograph taken back in 1905 by Rev CE, Tyndale Biscoe students were pictured wearing a traditional kashmir gown locally called "Pheran" as they are seen preparing for a boxing match.

The excavators in State of Israel found a treasure trove stashed in an earthen pot containing gold coins possibly issued during reign of Abbasid caliphate) inscribing islamic declaration ' there is no God but Allah and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the messenger of Allah". The coins 425 in number weighing 845 grams, this treasure discovery opens a new chapter of research on presence and influence of Abbasid Caliphate during 920AD some 1100 years ago.

Ruins of first fortifications constructed by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1590 who built an outer wall for the fort as part of his plans for a new capital called Nager Nagar, lately the fort at the top most part of the hill was built in 1808 under the reign of Shuja Shah Durrani.

Kashmiri Copper Samovar. This hinged double-lid samovar-like kettle sits on a burner fitted with an internal well into which hot coals can be kept for the purpose of maintaining the water in the surrounding chamber hot. The kettle sits on a flared open-work base which enables removal of the ash that has gathered from the coals. Its body is embossed and engraved with a frieze of floriform motifs. Hinged closure on lip of spout.
