Some content creators in Kashmir are unfortunately reducing the spirit of Eid ul Adha to mockery and social media entertainment, especially the sacred tradition of sacrificial meat distribution.
Eid ul Adha is not about show-off, jokes or viral content. It symbolizes sacrifice, compassion, equality and care for the needy. The distribution of meat is a noble act meant to strengthen humanity and social bonding, not a subject for ridicule and cheap publicity.
Freedom of expression should never come at the cost of hurting religious sentiments and undermining values that carry deep spiritual and social significance for millions.

3rd May is the World Press Freedom Day.
A free press is not just a pillar of democracy, it is its conscience. It speaks when others are silenced, questions when power goes unchecked and informs citizens so they can think, decide and act responsibly. In any democratic society, the strength of institutions is deeply tied to the independence and integrity of its media.
But freedom also demands responsibility. When journalism is reduced to sensationalism, propaganda, or personal gain, it weakens the very foundation it claims to protect. Fake narratives, half-truths and paid agendas do not serve the public they mislead it.
Today is not only a celebration of press freedom, but also a reminder: truth must remain sacred.The credibility of the press is its real power, and once lost, no freedom can compensate for it.

مسجد میں پہلی صف کا مقام ہمیشہ بلند رہا ہے۔
یہ قربِ الٰہی کی علامت ہے، سنجیدگی کی نشانی ہے، اور اپنے رب کے حضور پیش قدمی کا اظہار ہے۔

سوچنے کی بات یہ ہے کہ ہم اپنی ترجیحات کہاں طے کر رہے ہیں؟
عبادت میں پیچھے اور دنیا میں آگے…
