🍰🍪 Cake and Cookies Workshop at Mizoram University 🍪🍰

The School of Economics, Management and Information Science (SEMIS), Mizoram University, in collaboration with the Mizoram Culinary Association, successfully organised a 2-Day Hands-On Cake & Cookies Workshop on 8–9 December 2025 at SEMIS, MZU.

Conducted by Dr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor (DTHM), the workshop focused on practical bakery skills and introductory food entrepreneurship. A total of 20 participants actively took part in expert-led demonstrations and hands-on sessions.

On Day 1, participants learned the preparation of 11 varieties of cookies and biscuits, while Day 2 focused on 6 types of cakes, including fruit cake, eggless cake, sponge cake, muffins, and chocolate cake. Sessions also covered baking techniques, hygiene, fault correction, and product presentation.

The workshop received enthusiastic participation and positive feedback, strengthening skill-based learning initiatives at Mizoram University.

I delivered a one-hour interactive session titled "Eating Right for a Brighter Future: Healthy Habits, Happy Life" on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The session focused on empowering students to make informed, healthier food choices, with a particular emphasis on reducing sugar and oil intake. Photos are included here.
