Empathy is the foundation of our work and curiosity is what makes it a going concern. I feel, it is what helps introduce the therapeutic effect of unhastening to our lives. To be able to do that for myself and facilitate it for my clients is a privilege I don't take lightly.

I feel endless gratitude for the privilege of being able to work in this space and watch the practice and myself grow from the unknowns and unforeseens of private practice as I cross the quarter year mark in private practice.

Details about me:

✅Qualifications and approach - I'm Ayesha Hussain, a psychodynamic psychotherapist. I also use a humanistic and existential lens. I see suffering and distress and a condition of human living and see my clients as much more than their diagnosis. I have a master's in Psychosocial Clinical Studies and I'm pursuing a diploma in Family Therapy. My approach is non-directive with both adults and the under 18 population(use therapeutic play and play therapy here). I also facilitate listening circles. My practice as a therapist is also informed by my experiences as a researcher and vice-versa.

✅Client demographic - Children, adolescents and adults.

✅Client concerns - I work with clients coming with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to anxiety, depression, loss/grief, trauma, identity difficulties, family struggles, relationship issues, workplace struggles, marriage and intimacy, and growth and self-exploration.
