Which dukh is actually in your control?

Adhyatmik. Adhibhautik. Adhidaivik.

Some suffering comes from within.
Some comes from people and circumstances around you.
Some comes from forces beyond your control.

You may not be able to control what happens.

But if you can see what is happening within you, you can begin to regulate your response to it.

Observation creates the possibility of regulation.

So ask yourself:

Which dukh am I trying to control?
And which dukh am I capable of regulating?

Know the difference.
That is where self-mastery begins.

Yoga won’t solve your problems. And that’s exactly the point.

We often approach yoga looking for an outcome — better sleep, less stress, a healthier body, a calmer mind.

But yoga is not a quick fix.

It is a discipline that trains you to meet life differently.
To observe yourself.
To notice your reactions.
To pause before you act.
To choose with a little more clarity.

The problems may still be there.

But perhaps, with practice, you are no longer the same person facing them.

And maybe that is what makes the difference.

What if the real purpose of yoga isn’t to change your circumstances, but to change the way you meet them?

शनैः शनैः — little by little.

We live in a world that celebrates instant results. But this ancient Sanskrit shloka reminds us of something beautifully simple:

What is built to last, is built gradually.

Consistency doesn’t mean doing something perfectly every day.

It means returning.

Again.
And again.
And again.

If you’re willing to practise consistency comment:

“CONSISTENT”

And I’ll share the simple 5 step process with you.

I didn’t start Rest & Restore because I wanted to create another wellness programme.

I started it because, over the years, I began to notice a pattern in myself and in the people I worked with.

We know how to work hard. We know how to push through discomfort, solve problems and keep going. What many of us have forgotten is how to come out of that state.

Rest is not simply the absence of work. And recovery is not something we should postpone until the weekend, a holiday, or a breakdown.

It is a physiological and psychological skill: the ability to regulate your state, release accumulated tension and return to yourself with greater clarity.

Rest & Restore is my attempt to make that process simple, experiential and grounded in yogic science.

If you feel that your mind knows how to switch on but has forgotten how to switch off then this may be worth exploring.

DM me “REST” and I’ll share the link with you.
