A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 on the Richter scale struck southeastern Afghanistan on Monday. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the quake occurred at 00:47:41 IST, with its epicentre located at latitude 34.50N and longitude 70.81E, at a depth of 160 km. Naqibullah Rahimi, spokesperson for the Nangarhar Public Health Department, informed Reuters that at least nine people were killed and 15 others injured.

Houthi fighters' Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahwi was killed in an airstrike in Yemen's capital Sanaa. This claim has been made by the Times of Israel quoting Yemen's Al-Jumhuriya newspaper. Israel carried out an airstrike in Sanaa on 28 August. Rahawi was in his apartment in Sanaa, many of his colleagues were also killed in this attack.

Israeli officials believe that Houthi Defense Minister Mohammad al-Atifi and Chief of Staff Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari also died in these attacks. A day before this, 10 senior Houthi ministers, including the Defense Minister, were targeted. All of them had gathered at a place outside Sanaa to listen to the speech of group leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi.

A US federal court gave a big decision on Friday (local time). The court said that President Donald Trump has no legal right to impose tariffs. He said that most of Trump's tariffs are illegal. This decision of the court is a big blow to the policy in which Trump had made tariffs a big weapon of his international economic strategy.

However, the court also said that these tariffs will remain in force till October 14, so that the Trump administration gets time to appeal in the Supreme Court. Let us tell you that Trump had imposed tariffs on different countries.
