मुंबई में लघुकथा कार्यशाला

मुंबई, 25 अप्रैल 2026 — आज कफ परेड में वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार भगवती मित्तल जी के स्नेहिल आतिथ्य में एक ज्ञानवर्धक लघुकथा कार्यशाला का सफल आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में भोपाल से पधारी लघुकथा शोध संस्था की श्रीमती कांता राय जीम मुंबई अध्यक्ष अलका
अग्रवाल ,सेवासदन प्रसाद,रमेश यादव सहित अनेक वरिष्ठ साहित्यकारों एवं रचनाकारों की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति रही।
कार्यशाला के दौरान लघुकथा की बारीकियों, उसके स्वरूप, विकास और इतिहास पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई। कांता राय जी के मार्गदर्शन ने उपस्थितों सभी साहित्यप्रेमियों को विशेष रूप से लाभान्वित किया। कार्यक्रम का वातावरण अत्यंत आत्मीय और उत्सवमय रहा, जिसे भगवती मित्तल जी के स्नेह, आतिथ्य एवं स्वादिष्ट भोजन ने और भी यादगार बना दिया।
गोष्ठी में सभी रचनाकारों ने अपनी-अपनी लघुकथाओं का पाठ किया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत अलका पांडेय द्वारा उनकी लघुकथा ‘सौदा’ के वाचन से हुई, जिसके पश्चात सीमा द्विवेदी,आभा गोयल,और अन्य प्रतिभागियों ने भी अपनी रचनाएं प्रस्तुत कीं।
इस अवसर पर उपस्थित विद्वतजनों में प्रमुख रूप से अलका पांडेय, डॉ. सुजाता उदेशी, सीमा श्रीवास्तव, , मधु चौधरी, अर्चना झा, सुनीता अंभोरे, डॉ. रमेश यादव, मृदुल प्रभा, सुनीता मंडेलिया, अलका अग्रवाल, कांता राय, ममता माली, दिनेश शाकुल, सीमा त्रिवेदी, सेवा सदन प्रसाद, अमिता केडिया, संध्या गुप्ता, ममता झा, सर्वेश, डॉ. निर्मोही फडके, डॉ. देवीदास के. बामणे ‘संघर्ष’, समीरा पत्रावाला, ऊषा सक्सेना, ऋतु सक्सेना, रीना अग्रवाल,सुनिता चौहान, एवं आभा गोयंका सहित अनेक साहित्यकार शामिल रहे।
कार्यक्रम के अंत में सभी प्रतिभागियों ने भगवती मित्तल जी, कांता राय जी, अलका अग्रवाल जी एवं सेवा सदन‌ प्रसाद, रमेश यादव जी के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया। सभी ने इस प्रकार के आयोजनों को निरंतर जारी रखने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया, जिससे मुंबई में लघुकथाकारों की एक सशक्त श्रृंखला विकसित हो सके और नए लेखकों को मंच मिल सके।
निस्संदेह, यह आयोजन साहित्यिक दृष्टि से अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण और प्रेरणादायी रहा।

Bharat Rang Mahotsav... the biggest theatre festival in the world is happening now in Bharat and 15 countries across the globe.

My love for theatre took me to Ravindra Natya Mandir to watch TAMAS.. a play based on Bhishm Sahni's novel by the same name. I coincidentally became a witness to history... history that was being made. This was the first ever time thatvNSD.. Rashtriya Natya Vidyalya had come to Mumbai with a festival. I got to see stalwarts of theatre.. people we grew seeing from far.. across screens.. Rohini Hattangadi.. Meeta Vashisht.. on stage along with Govind Nihlani and NSD Director Chitranjan Dubey. Off stage in the audience Marathi actresses...NSD alumini and others were present.

The play started a bit late after the opening ceremony by IT and cultural affair minister Adv Ashish Shelar, who spoke with good knowledge of theatre.

The play was outstanding and grand. The set design... transitions.. background music.. songs... costumes.. lighting... actors every aspect was superlative. TAMAS based on communal riots of 1947 partition seemed relevant even today. The story is timeless.. human emotions are universal... the virtues and vices too are same.. be it 1947 or 2026.

No matter how the world progresses we will need artists and storytellers to look for thin lines.. to read between the lines... to express and to make this world understand humanity.

My day was was made... I picked up my lessons in theatre n humanity. If you are in Mumbai .. you must come and watch PLAYS.. THEATRE at 6.30 every day .. this week.. at Ravindra Natya Mandir Prabhadevi. The auditorium too is world class.

Time travelled to feel his pain.. his trials... his complexes... his insecurities.. his longing for love. As an artist I went through those intense emotions. I had read about him earlier but i wasn't expecting to see his life unfold in front of me. The cast was so perfect... Vincent looked exactly like him.. like he was born again to perform his part.. to tell his story. Story that isn't going to leave me for a few days for sure. What a play.. deftly crafted by Stephen Fife.
