How does excessive visceral fat affect your heart health?

- Visceral fat is stored in persons abdominal cavity and is also known as 'active fat' as it influences the functioning of hormones in the body.
It is also called 'Danger Fat' as it is close to the heart.

Health risks of carrying excess visceral fat include:
●Heart attacks
●Heart disease
●Type 2 diabetes
●Breast and colorectal cancer
●Alzhemier's disease

Now when we know how dangerous is our excessive visceral fat then, what can we do to get rid of this fat?

-Essential factors are making changes in diet and physical activity as losing weight can help in reducing excessive fat

*Exercise*
People should include both cardiovascular exercise ,which raises a person's heart rate and strength training which improves muscle size, into their routines.

*Stress*
Stress can play important role in storing excess visceral fat .
This is because when someone is stressed ,body releases cortisol hormones, which increases visceral fat.

◆Relaxation techniques such as mediation, deep breathing , and other stress management tactics can be beneficial to reduce stress.

*Diet*
A healthful diet which is low in sugar laden, fatty foods will also help to loose weight and shift excess visceral fat.
