Patent Approved!
We’re proud to announce that our IoT-based handloom authentication system has been officially patent-approved!
This milestone marks a major leap forward in our mission to fight counterfeit handlooms and protect our weavers.
Why does this matter?
During a visit to Surajkund Mela last year, we witnessed firsthand the challenges artisans face:
A genuine Patola weaver priced his handcrafted silk saree at ₹1L+, only to be dismissed by a buyer saying, "Doesn’t even look like silk!"
Meanwhile, a nearby stall sold a “pure silk Jamdani” for ₹10k—which our FibreSENSE test confirmed was 100% polyester.
The reality is painful:
Fake products thrive. True craftsmanship suffers.
Our solution:
✅ IoT and AI-powered verification at the source — stopping fraud at the point of sale
✅ Instant buyer trust — scan to confirm authenticity
✅ Fair earnings for artisans — preserving the value of genuine handwork
Receiving our IP grant right around feels symbolic of the movement we’re building—to Grow Handmade with technology.
Have you ever encountered fake handloom products?
We’d love to hear your story—let’s talk about how tech can protect the future of craftsmanship.

In the heart of Odisha lies Subarnapur, a region renowned for its rich terracotta artistry. Artisans here craft intricate designs, drawing inspiration from mythology and tribal motifs, bringing stories to life through their skilled hands.
Despite their exceptional craftsmanship, these artisans have historically lacked formal recognition and protection for their unique creations. Traditional methods made it challenging to authenticate and trace the origins of their work, leaving them vulnerable to imitation and loss of cultural identity.
KOSHA worked with the Subarnapur Terracotta Artisans Producer Company Limited to bring something game-changing—geo-traceability.
For the first time, every terracotta piece will be linked to its place of origin, ensuring that its story, craftsmanship, and identity are never lost.
This isn’t just about authentication—it’s about giving artisans the recognition they deserve and preserving the cultural heritage woven into every creation.
Because behind every handcrafted piece is a skilled artisan, a rich tradition, and a place that deserves to be celebrated.

Food labels show calories, but what about clothing? More brands are now sharing their carbon footprint—making impact visible at a glance.
Carbon scores on clothing are becoming more common, offering a clearer view of environmental impact.
At KOSHA, we’re working on:
✔ AI-powered solutions for carbon tracking
✔ Impact scores directly on product tags.
✔ More transparency, less greenwashing.
🚨 With regulations shifting, some brands are already adopting this.
If you saw a Carbon Score on a T-shirt, would it influence your choice? Drop your thoughts below.

Not all ‘sustainable’ brands are actually sustainable.
Greenwashing is at an all-time high. Brands are slapping “eco-friendly” on products without proof.
💡 KOSHA eliminates the guesswork.
✔ Immutable ledgers data—so impact claims can be verified.
✔ AI-driven material testing—because labels don’t tell the full story.
✔ Digital product passports—transparency from raw material to retail.
As more brands take accountability, trust is becoming the real currency. How do you decide what’s truly sustainable?

For years, we’ve been told that economic growth equals progress. More production, more sales, more profits. This is the formula for success in most industries. And nowhere is this mindset more obvious than in fashion. But what if growth isn't the answer?

We were honoured to witness the Honourable Prime Minister's presence at the KOSHA FibreSENSE kiosk at Bharat Tex 2025, where he engaged with our Textile Recovery Facility (TRF) partner, Indumati.
PM Modi emphasized that India’s textile industry can transform fast fashion waste into a global opportunity by leveraging traditional techniques and cutting-edge technologies. This event is a powerful reminder of India’s rich textile heritage and its path to becoming a global leader in textile innovation.
A special thank you to Astha Khubele from Saahas Zero Waste for curating the theme and coordinating with the Ministry of Textiles to make this possible.
We are proud to be part of this transformative journey, supporting authenticity, sustainability, and technology in textiles.
