Nisha's Story:
Nisha, a 14-year-old girl, was trapped in child labor. The Bal Panchayat (child parliament) played a crucial role in her transformation by visiting her daily, sharing inspiring stories, and encouraging her to return to school. After two months of persistent effort, Nisha re-enrolled in the 8th grade. The Bal Panchayat continued to support her, ensuring her continued attendance and success. Nisha successfully passed her 8th-grade exams in March 2023 and is now determined to become a teacher to empower other children. She credits the Bal Mitra Gram (BMG) program for liberating her from child labor and believes it should be implemented in every village.

Stories like hers prove that change begins with one step.
