A work of Art...and this work of ours explores alienation, separation, longing, memories, and mental health...in today’s world where so many people are moving away to other countries far far away from their homes looking for opportunity and work and a better living…I wanted to create and tell this story about such a person who left home and moved to a different country and about the people who stayed behind.

'Dekho Diner Aalo Fote'

With great joy I wanted to share with you all that I have been working on 'In Her Time', as the storyteller, director, animator, storyboard artist, character designer and several other roles. And now that this work is finally finished after 8-9 months of hard work, patience and creative labour, I feel very happy to share this photo with you taken by Soumyarya Mallick , the producer and music composer of In Her Time.

In Her Time is the second musical of the series, ' Something To Hold On To', an animated musical series, where each song/musical is an episode and tells part of the story...to know the whole story you have to watch the entire series.

The world designing of 'In Her Time' would not have been possible without Devleena Chakraborty who worked alongside me in developing the world and creating many background paintings, which are a treat to watch.

The background painting of the frame you see behind me, was also developed by Devleena from my storyboard sketch and we worked together in bringing out the vibe.

Huge shout out to Tapasi Bhattacharya for her wonderful work on the sound design of In Her Time, I really love what she did. Tapasi is also the sound engineer of the project and mixed and mastered the track.

Huge shout out to the drummer Sounak Dutta, bassist Sumit Dey, Udit Saptarshi and everyone else...all my love and respect to the great contributions of all these amazing people.

And lastly, I want to thank Anirban Bhattacharya my friend, for he knows what...thanks a lot buddy

So yes, 'In Her Time' has been completed and is currently making its tours in several film festivals...and we shall tell you more about that soon when something comes up.

Created & Directed this Animated Short Film for India Autism Center.
Story has been written by Aditi Sowmyanarayan and the Music and Sound Design has been created by Aitoreya Mukherjee.
Background Paintings by Devleena Chakraborty and myself.
I also did the storyboard, animation, editing and art direction.
And there is a little surprise as I also had to fill in to play the role of the Voice Artist for the character of Mr.Sinha, a character in this short film.
