Attended ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan’ organized at Town Hall, Doda, under the campaign ‘12 Saal – Vishwas Ke, Vikas Ke, Jan Kalyan Ke!

On this day, June 19, 1998, the nation witnessed one of the darkest chapters of terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir.
In Chapnari village, Doda, heavily armed terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen ambushed innocent Hindu villagers accompanying two marriage parties. 25 to 26 unarmed civilians — men, women, and children — were brutally massacred at point-blank range.

The Chapnari massacre was not just an attack on lives; it was an assault on our civilizational values, social harmony, and the very idea of India.
We bow in solemn remembrance to the victims. Their sacrifice reminds us that peace is fragile, and the cost of terrorism is paid in innocent blood.
Our resolve stands firm — terrorism shall never triumph over the spirit of our people.

Deeply shaken by the sudden passing of Sh. Pardeep Ji, Chandi Mata Chela, R/o Kansoo.
I met him personally at his residence in Kansoo yesterday evening around 7 PM. Hours later, he left us due to cardiac arrest. Life is truly so unpredictable.
A devoted soul, a guiding light for countless followers — his absence will be felt across Kahara Mandal.
Heartfelt prayers for his _Sadgati_ and strength for the family.

Under the _Vishesh Jansampark Abhiyan_, we continued our commitment to grassroots democracy in Kahra Mandal. Meaningful interactions were held with the citizens of Kansoo, Derouth, Indloo, and Batoli — listening first, understanding deeply, and reinforcing our resolve to serve every household with accountability and vision.

As part of the Special Public Outreach Campaign marking “12 Years of Trust, Development & Public Welfare” under the Modi Government, commemorative books detailing the government’s 12-year record of reform, inclusive growth, and citizen-centric governance were presented to dignitaries and citizens at Dhara Mandal.

The publication documents key policy milestones and welfare outcomes to foster informed engagement with the nation’s development journey.

Congratulations to Shri Tarun Chugh Ji on his election to the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. A true Karyakarta who rose through commitment and Seva.

Surpassing Pandit Nehru’s tenure, he has become independent India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. This is not merely a count of days, but a testament to 4,399 days lived by the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ — every moment dedicated to the welfare of the poor, prosperity of farmers, aspirations of youth, and empowerment of Nari Shakti.

Deeply concerned by the cloudburst incidents reported across several localities in Doda and Kishtwar.

While it is a measure of relief that no loss of life has been reported thus far, the scale of disruption underscores the urgent need for strengthened early-warning systems and climate-resilient infrastructure in our vulnerable hill regions.

My thoughts are with the residents of the affected areas. I urge the district administration to ensure swift relief, unhindered restoration of connectivity, and continued vigilance. The safety and well-being of every citizen remains the foremost priority.
