We were at .india last week✨

The theme this year was Sense & Sensibility and for once, a trade show theme actually showed up in the spaces!

Design as something you feel, not just see. Fragrance, material, sound, touch - all part of how the stalls were conceived✨

What stood out: the range of conviction. One space- warm terracotta, curved boucle, hand-painted palms, pebbles underfoot. Soft, almost meditative. Another — near-black walls, a red leather sofa, Devanagari script art above it. Dark and completely sure of itself.

Both worked. Because they committed!

Also got to meet designer Shimona Bhansali from , whose vision for this year’s theme was exactly what the show needed. Good conversation with someone who clearly thinks deeply about what design should feel like, not just look like🫶

The show feels like it’s maturing- less about product display, more about point of view. That shift is good for Indian design🙌

And we at IKIRU, are paying attention🙋🏻‍♀️
