📌 Day 3 – Faculty Development Program Transforming Engineering Classrooms Through Student-Centered Learning

The third and final day of the Faculty Development Program concluded successfully with an enriching technical session and a memorable valedictory ceremony.

The session focused extensively on the NBA Accreditation Framework, providing faculty members with a comprehensive understanding of NBA Criteria 1 to 8 and their respective sub-criteria.

Key highlights of the session included:

✅ Detailed explanation of NBA Criteria 1–8 and the documentation requirements for each criterion.

✅ Systematic guidance on the NBA file numbering system, enabling departments to maintain well-organized and evidence-based accreditation files.

✅ In-depth discussion on Performance Indicators (P*s) and their role in measuring student attainment and continuous improvement.

✅ Insightful presentation on ICAP Pedagogies (Interactive, Constructive, Active, and Passive Learning), emphasizing the implementation of student-centered instructional strategies to enhance classroom engagement and learning outcomes.

The session provided practical insights and a structured roadmap for strengthening NBA preparedness and promoting effective teaching-learning practices across departments.

The FDP concluded with the Valedictory Session, during which the achievements and key outcomes of the three-day program were highlighted. Certificates were distributed to all participants in recognition of their enthusiastic participation and commitment to professional development.

The three-day FDP successfully equipped faculty members with practical knowledge and strategies related to student-centered learning, Outcome-Based Education, AICTE reforms, NBA accreditation processes, innovative pedagogies, and assessment practices, reinforcing the institution's commitment to academic excellence and continuous quality improvement.

Day 2 of the FDP was highly engaging and practice-oriented, providing faculty with valuable insights into Outcome-Based Education (OBE), AICTE Reforms, and NBA Criterion 3 implementation.

Dr. P. Rammohan delivered an insightful session on the Overview of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), with a special focus on:

- ✅ Writing effective and measurable Course Outcomes (COs)
- ✅ The role of faculty in planning, delivering, and assessing courses under the OBE framework
- ✅ Aligning teaching-learning and assessment practices with desired learning outcomes

🌟 Session 2: Prof. Vijaya Bhasker Reddy

Prof. Vijaya Bhasker Reddy conducted a highly impactful hands-on session on AICTE Examination Reforms and NBA Criterion 3.

The session covered:

- ✅ CO–PO Mapping with proper justification
- ✅ Alignment of COs with AICTE Examination Reforms
- ✅ Two-step CO–PO Mapping methodology
- ✅ Preparation and interpretation of attainment sheets with practical examples
- ✅ Best practices for implementing OBE and maintaining NBA documentation effectively

The interactive hands-on activities enabled faculty members to apply the concepts directly to their assigned courses, making the session extremely practical and beneficial.

Dr. Kiran, Dr. Ashima, and Mr. D. Matru shared their experiences from the IIECP 2025 Spring Program, highlighting their learning journey, innovative teaching practices, and key takeaways that can be effectively implemented to create student-centered classrooms and enhance teaching excellence.
