How many of you have seen the Batasia War Memorial ? Do you know that it was constructed by the District Sainik Board, Darjeeling in commemoration of the Gorkha Soldiers to protect the Gorkhaland from British Rule till they got "Azadi"/independence.

Tiger hill - Beautiful view of Mt.Kanchenjunga
(8586 m). You have to reach by 3.30 am at night to secure your spot and get the amazing view. We were lucky to get the view of Mt. Everest as well. It was dark and cold out there but the crowd will make you feel happy!! The mesmerising sunrise at one side and the golden rays falling on Sleeping Buddha was something surreal. Nature always does the wonders and we are little creatures only in front of it.
