Honoured to be present during the nomination filing of Shri James Sangma as Rajya Sabha candidate from Meghalaya.
We hope and expect him to be not just a strong voice for Meghalaya, but for the entire Northeast, bringing his wisdom, experience, and commitment to the service of our region and nation.
Wishing him success in the journey ahead.

Our commitment to the people of Dima Hasao is only growing stronger. To become self-reliant in our villages, to reimagine education and employment and most importantly to protect our land rights under Sixth Schedule. We gave thanks to the people of Wajao. 🙏
Sad to see students of Haflong Government College forced to lock the college gates today in protest against the ongoing issues affecting Assam University.
Students should not have to resort to such measures to be heard. They deserve justice and empathy!

Today marks 19 years since we lost my father, Nindu Langthasa.
On 4th June 2007, he was taken from us by an act of violence. Nineteen years have passed, yet justice remains elusive. Time has moved on, generations have changed, but the questions and the pain remain.
As his son, there are moments when I wish he were still here to share in our joys, to guide us through our struggles, and to witness the lives that continue because of the foundation he built. His absence is felt every day.
Violence may take a life, but it should never take away our humanity. Violence is never the answer. It leaves behind only grief, broken families, and wounds that last for generations.
Though my father is no longer with us, his spirit continues to guide us. His values live on in those who knew him, loved him, and continue to walk the path he showed us.
On this day, we remember him not with anger, but with love. Not with bitterness, but with hope. And not with a desire for vengeance, but with a commitment to building a more peaceful world.
Forever remembered. Forever loved.

Following the concerns raised by citizens regarding garbage dumping along the Maibang–Semkhor road, the Maibang Municipal Board has now addressed the matter publicly and stated that steps are being taken, including shifting the dumping site and developing composting pits.
It is good that the issue is now being acknowledged and discussed openly. Cleanliness and proper waste management require both administrative action and public cooperation, including responsible waste disposal and segregation at home.
Hopefully, this leads to long-term and effective implementation so that our towns, roads and environment remain cleaner and healthier for everyone.

This road connects Maibang to Semkhor and many nearby villages in Dima Hasao. It has been slowly turning into an open dumping ground. Garbage is being thrown openly beside the road without proper sanitation or waste management.
The smell is unbearable, the health risk is real, and children and the elderly travel through this road every day. This negligence by concerned departments cannot continue. Public health are not luxuries, they are responsibilities.

Over the past few days, we visited and interacted with local party committees, grassroots workers, elders and youth in different parts of Dima Hasao.
I am truly grateful for the encouragement, warmth and unwavering support shown to us. The elections may be over, but our commitment towards our people and our district continues with even greater sincerity and determination.
These interactions and discussions give us hope and strength as we continue to move forward together, step by step. 🙏
