CAM rejects ICSUL claims, backs Foreign Minister Nyanti and Liberia’s diplomacy..
The Citizens Action Movement (CAM) has condemned a recent Independent Civil Society Union of Liberia (ICSUL) publication that alleged payments for the personal branding of Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti. CAM called the report “baseless” and “malicious,” saying it aims to distract from Liberia’s diplomatic achievements.
CAM said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ use of professional communications is standard practice for sovereign states and serves national interests, not individuals. The movement also stated that all procurement follows the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission Act and is subject to audit by the General Auditing Commission, urging reliance on official records rather than unverified allegations.
Highlighting Liberia’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council as a national victory, CAM praised Minister Nyanti’s leadership and professionalism and said diplomatic appointments follow civil service and presidential procedures.
The group urged civil society, the media, and political actors to base commentary on facts, adding that constructive scrutiny strengthens democracy while slander weakens it…

LIBERIA NATIONAL POLICE AND MOROCCO’S GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF NATIONAL SECURITY SIGN LANDMARK COOPERATION MEMORANDUM
The Liberia National Police (LNP) is pleased to announce the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on security and police cooperation between the Liberia National Police and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The agreement represents a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Liberia and the Kingdom of Morocco, while advancing international law enforcement cooperation in addressing transnational crime, terrorism, cybercrime, trafficking, financial crimes, and other emerging security threats.
The Memorandum establishes a structured framework for cooperation in several critical areas, including intelligence and information sharing, capacity building and specialized police training, border security and migration management, public order management and major event security, counterterrorism and tactical operations, technical and scientific policing, cybersecurity cooperation, forensic science and criminal investigations, drone technology and modern surveillance systems, as well as joint operational coordination and professional exchanges.
The Liberia National Police views this partnership as a strategic investment in institutional modernization, operational readiness, and the adoption of international best practices aimed at strengthening public safety and national security.
Inspector General of Police Gregory O.W. Coleman noted that contemporary security threats increasingly transcend national borders and require stronger international partnerships grounded in professionalism, mutual respect, lawful cooperation, and shared security interests.
“This cooperation framework reflects the Liberia National Police’s continued commitment to modernization, professional excellence, and international collaboration in addressing evolving security challenges affecting both our region and the global community,” Inspector General Coleman stated.
The Liberia National Police further emphasizes that the Memorandum is a non-binding cooperation instrument that fully respects the sovereignty, constitutional frameworks, national laws, and institutional priorities of both countries.
The Liberia National Police expresses profound appreciation to His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., the Government of Liberia, and the Embassy of the Republic of Liberia near Rabat for their support in strengthening Liberia’s international security partnerships.
The LNP also extends sincere appreciation to the General Directorate of National Security of the Kingdom of Morocco for its commitment to deepening professional cooperation and promoting collective efforts toward regional and international peace and security.
The Liberia National Police remains committed to building a modern, capable, accountable, and internationally connected police service that contributes to national stability, investor confidence, economic resilience, and the protection of all persons within the Republic of Liberia.

The National Elections Commission (NEC) of Liberia is reportedly facing another legal setback after the Commercial Court ordered a shutdown over unpaid debts to a local vendor, M Tosh Prints Media Inc.
The company says it supplied election materials to the NEC but has not been paid despite repeated demands and earlier court actions. This is not the first time the commission has been taken to court over the same issue.
Following the latest ruling, NEC officials and an oversight commissioner appeared before the Commercial Court to appeal the shutdown and request permission for the institution to resume operations while the matter is resolved.

"We will begin the construction of 1,400 housing units across the country by the end of 2026, along with our partners.
One investor has taken Bentol and Croserville to construct 250 units, another 250 units in Fendell and 150 along the Robertsfield. Additionally, the Housing Authority is constructing 600 units across six counties.
With this, we can confidently say that we are building over a thousand housing units nationwide.
However, the previous administration did not construct 100 Housing Units in Nimba. There are less than 12 units in Sanniquellie with no proper arrangements with the land owner who has resulted in selling the space to others."

Liberia’s Environmental Protection Agency has launched the country’s first major crackdown on noise pollution, with police-backed enforcement, fines and speaker confiscations.
Authorities say churches, mosques, bars, nightclubs and street parties will all face penalties if they exceed new legal sound limits.
Experts warn excessive noise is becoming a public health crisis, but say awareness and community education will be key to making the new rules work.

Representative Jerry Yorgbor writes : MY STAND AS AN INDEPENDENT LAWMAKER
I was elected by the people of District 12 as an independent lawmaker because they believed in my ability to think independently, speak truthfully, and act courageously in the best interest of the people. That trust remains the foundation of my public service.
Throughout my political journey, I have engaged and worked with different institutions, leaders, and national actors. Those engagements reflect my commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and national progress, not political submission.
While I may collaborate with individuals or groups where our goals align for the benefit of the people, my decisions remain guided solely by conscience, principle, and the interests of District 12 and Liberia.
Independence does not mean isolation. It means the freedom to support policies that advance development, strengthen democracy, and improve the lives of our citizens, while also having the courage to oppose actions that undermine public trust, regardless of where they originate.
My association with any individual or organization, including NIMBO, is based on constructive engagement, development initiatives, and national interest, never political control or dependency. My loyalty is unwaveringly with the people of District 12 and the Republic of Liberia.
At this important stage of our national development, Liberians are demanding leadership that can unite people, build institutions, and deliver meaningful results. Our country needs leaders who rise above division, political captivity, tribalism, and partisan hostility.
I remain fully committed to accountable leadership, inclusive governance, sustainable development, and service to all people, irrespective of political affiliation, tribe, religion, or social background.
Liberia’s progress depends on leaders who can work across party lines, bridge ideological differences, and bring people together for the common good.
Independence gives me the ability to engage broadly, listen openly, and serve faithfully without fear or undue influence.
My focus remains clear to represent the people of District 12 with integrity, courage, independence, and results-driven leadership.
Your Humble servant,
Hon. Jerry K. Yogboh
Representative
District 12, Montserrado County
