The Haridwar highway is a Dhoka, its only an expressway till meerut. And fully loaded the Shiv Dhabas ... not impressive like the Chandigarh Highway.
The topic is not eating at the original place but at an brand extension.... does the experience remain the same ?
MOHAN Puri wala Haridwar, original Downtown ... delivered by tomato and opened on the highway. Though I gobbled down 4 puris after several years the taste was not the same at thos extension ... heeng wali Puri... Aloo, Chole, petha, halwa.
Matlab its good as a sign off .. of things to do in Haridwar.

Khow suey is one of them... Seema Puniani Vaid makes the most amazing " her version " for amer and of course the rest of the family also... we slurp down bowls and bowls ... but what effort of putting the condiments together .... a perfect family meal.

What are the seasonal Pickles/ Achaars of your region , family .... ours was Gobhi Gajr Shalgam.... p**a full of it made by my mom... that flavour still lingers with not only me but the full tabar ... ever since she passed never had thr same experience .
Ok I call my self a achhar guru... keep ordering commercial visa vis home made pickles to find a new flavour. Landed up ordering fro this famous shop in Amristar... it was different but the best ive eaten in a while .... his wadi papad are also amazing... oh also tried his Kala nimboo achar which was tasty but not matured .
