RESILIENCE •Original work •Acrylic and Texture Paste on Canvas My Take: I started this piece in Jan 2023. Also submitted it for one of the art exhibitions but it wasn't selected. I wasn't satisfied with it, also it wasn't what it looks like right now. But last month had a perfect focus point (woodpecker) to add to this green chaos. And there! How to make a portrait: 1. Learn Anatomy 💪🦵What protrudes and what doesn't, which part of the face or body receives light from a specific angle is dependent on anatomy. 2. Practice Features, Proportions, use Reference. 🤳 (Using reference is the best thing you can do to your art and no you are not cheating. Rather not using references will not improve your skills because you don't have anything to compare it to. 3. Keep PATIENCE🤧 through the ugly phase before abandoning another painting. I Abandon my work too just because self doubt is at its peak during that Ugly Phase and its really to keep going.
