Our first safari went dry without any Cat sightings...and during second safari, we did hear few calls...but not too prominent.

Then we switched towards birding, and while making images of Rocket Tail Drango, one of the fellow tourist whispered 'Tiger, Tiger,...' and this lady walks out of the thickets, then does a cat Walk on the track for couple of minutes and disappears...

Pictured here us a Baya Weaver in a paddy field, they are known to glean paddy and other grain in harvested fields. They roost bordering waterbodies and depend on grasses as well as crops like rice for both their food and nesting material

During Summer, every year, thousands of River Terns flock to a small island in the reservoir to nest & breeding.

This year, since water level did not recede in the reservoir to open up the island, there was few weeks of delay in nesting. But, finally much awaited spectacle started, eggs from early nesters started hatching and pictured here is a River Tern with its price catch coming to feed its chick....

During our birding session, at one of the place we found that a dragonfly would hover round, come back and sit on the same dried stick for few seconds.

Background was a shaded area with thick foliage and foreground had fresh leaves. This made an interesting frame for a low key image
