Mukesh Jagtiani the founder of Landmark Group peacefully passed away at the age of 70, surrounded by his loving family. His incredible journey rooted in his Sindhi heritage, from rags to riches, shaped his remarkable legacy.
Mukesh was born and raised in India, he then moved to London for his studies. Jagtiani ended up dropping out and had to clean hotel rooms and work as a taxi driver in London to sustain himself. Soon he moved back to Beirut where he started his first business.
When the Gulf War struck, he relocated to Dubai and founded the Landmark Group. Today, the group encompasses fashion, electronics, furniture, and budget hotels, employing over 45,000 people across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and India.
Beyond his professional success, Mukesh Jagtiani will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and philanthropic efforts. His impact on the business world and communities he served is immeasurable.

In picture is 1917 movie Fatal Ring released in Star Cinema of Karachi.
Star Cinema, Karachi was one of the first cinema halls in India. It was built in 1917. It lasted until the 1940's before being pulled down.

Gorakh Hills.
The name Gorakh is derived from the Sindhi language in which, word "Gorakhnath" refers to a popular Hindu Saint associated with the deity Shiva. The Hill Station receives winter snowfall and is among one of the only places in Sindh to have snowfall in winters. The mountains were completely covered with a blanket of snow in 2008 winters.
There was a small temple on top of a hill standing over Kumb. Hindus generally visited the temple and Kumb, and performed their religious rituals. Before partition Hindu yogis generally used to visit this peak on their way to yet another place of worship called tirath kumb.
