An Italian artist who spent decades painting India’s soul. 🇮🇳🎨🇮🇹

Giampaolo Tomasetti fell in love with India’s culture, spirituality, and everyday life, capturing it through his art with remarkable depth and respect.

Born in Italy, but inspired by India, his work became a bridge between two civilizations.
Proof that you don’t have to be born in India to be moved by its beauty.

The ovi, jatyavarchi ovi, songs upon the grindmill, were composed before dawn, in the rhythm of two stones turning. A loose three-and-a-half line couplet. Made in the body, in the dark, in the hour before the house needed anything from her.

Researchers eventually recorded them. The archive now holds over 100,000 couplets from 3,302 women across more than 1,000 villages. It may be the largest single body of women’s poetry on earth.

What the ovi carried was everything the sanctioned literary tradition had decided wasn’t worth keeping: the weight of a daughter-in-law’s first year, the memory of a brother’s kindness, the name of a man whose death the world had already moved past. One song mourns Ambedkar. Another records, in the language of love, a woman who was given a betel-leaf plantation because she could never own land outright.

The form is small. The archive is enormous. And most of it will never be translated.

The last slide asks something we’d like to leave with you.

I have the idea that I’m perfectly imperfect and imperfectly perfect, and discovered over time that I’m twinflame with my Significant Other Complementary Partner, like DNA helix. I’ve been doing healthier natural breathing by Nirbeeja Yoga, which turned out to be like wetgrinder/washing machine (samudra manthan) during two years of the pandemic, when i was protecting health of my DNA from getting ‘viral DNA’ but also healing my DNA but found fewer people were getting infected and lockdowns were lifting; happened at least thrice to my knowledge. I’ve been shifting the gravity of the economy from 1 (off center and disease-healing focused ‘sick’ economy) to 0 centered (health focused and evolution-focused from central dot of ShriChakra from the idea that humans (from my example) are designed to enliven Life in multiverse). Physicists just found the missing ingredient that gives space-time its gravity. And they’re calling it magic.

Here’s the story.
For decades physicists have known that quantum entanglement builds the structure of space. Particles linked together form the fabric. That part was solved.
But the fabric was completely inert. Matter sat inside it without bending anything. Gravity was missing entirely.
Charles Cao at Virginia Tech found what was missing.
He calls it magic — a precise mathematical measure of how genuinely quantum a system is. In quantum computing it comes from special operations called non-Clifford gates — operations so complex no classical computer can replicate them.
Without magic the quantum fabric of space is too rigid. Nothing bends. No gravity.
Add magic — the fabric becomes flexible. Matter bends space. Gravity emerges directly from quantum mechanics.
Cao himself says this is step 0.5 out of 5. No time yet. Doesn’t describe our specific universe yet.
But the direction is clear.
Gravity isn’t just related to quantum mechanics.
It comes from it.

Do Europeans and Americans have data processing problems because of which a technology for civilisation was used for colonization, like microbes or creatures less than human? Drama Triad has victim-perpetrator-rescuer dynamics and Drama Triad has a wound the Triad harbours. Winner Triad has vulnerability, caring, assertiveness and harbours peace at the Triad’s center. Europe and America are close in geographical proximity and Earth may be harbouring unhealed or unprocessed (unprocessable) wounds because humans there can’t care enough to care/heal? (There are lots of hospitals and therapeutic processes, quite advanced technologies, but data processing and metabolism may be poor because of lifestyle practices/thoughtlines or relationships with their land/body?)

China Built the Weapons That Broke It
China was 400 years ahead of everyone. They had the gunpowder. They had the compass. They had the printing press.
But while the Ming Dynasty turned inward to protect their peace, the rest of the world was turning their inventions into weapons of conquest. By the time China reopened its doors, the technology they created had come back to haunt them.
The most expensive mistake in history wasn’t a lost battle, it was a closed door. ⚓️🧨

They kept dancing anyway..

What’s fascinating about Bharatanatyam is that it was never created merely to entertain. It came from a civilisation that believed the body could carry philosophy. That emotion itself could be sacred. That longing, devotion, grief, desire, discipline, surrender — all of it belonged inside art.

A single mudra could mean protection, love, anger, prayer. A glance could become poetry. An ankle bell could carry mythology across generations. Bharatanatyam was never just movement. It was memory.

And yet, history changed the way people looked at it. Over time, society became uncomfortable with women embodying sensuality, power, and devotion so openly in public. The dance began carrying shame that did not originally belong to it.

Yet through all of this — bans, stigma, reform movements, erasure — some women kept dancing. Quietly. Relentlessly. Even when the world told them they were the problem.

That is why Bharatanatyam still exists today.

Disclaimer: This post discusses the history and revival of Bharatanatyam as an art form. It does not romanticise or endorse the devadasi system as it exists today, where girls continue to be forced into exploitative practices under the guise of tradition. That is abuse, and it must end.
