This arm contouring procedure is used to treat lax inelastic skin and excess fat deposits between the underarm and elbow.
Skin loses elasticity and becomes loose and saggy due to ageing or huge weight loss. Excessive fat deposits cannot be eliminated through diet and exercise alone. Bat Wings or the flabby skin of the upper arm can be irritating, unpleasant to look and also makes tight sleeves extremely uncomfortable.
Arm liposuction is a keyhole cosmetic procedure for contouring of bulky arms without skin laxity. It tightens the skin of the arms from the elbow to axilla with liposuction which removes excess fat deposits.
During Arm Lift Lipoplasty procedure , after finishing liposuction, an incision is made in the armpit and can extend in length depending on the amount of lax skin. Unwanted skin and fat is removed, and then the skin is redraped to get more natural contours of the arms.
Scar of incision line will take 6 months to fade.
Who is the best candidate?
People with excessive loose skin and unwanted fat deposits are ideally suited to the combined Arm Lift procedure. If you suffer with mild loose skin, your arms may be more suitable to treat only with Liposuction.
Recovery takes between 2 to 4 weeks. During this time, strenuous activity should be avoided. A compression garment is worn for around 10-12 weeks after the surgery. This helps with post-operative swelling, assists in the healing process.

Mr. Ramanand 23 year electrician from Uttar Pradesh, while working on a site of solar mega project on high voltage DP control panel, accidentally sustained life threatening major injury. He had very deep & horrible facial burns with charring of his face , neck, chest, abdomen, back , thighs & both upper extremities including hands. Also he sustained critical smoke to both lungs. More than 60% of his body skin was deeply charred & there was serious threat to his life! Survival chances of such patient are less than 5% in Indian scenario.
Ramanand was primarily treated at SRTR Medical college, Ambajogai & then at a private hospital in Latur for a day. Meanwhile the managers of the industrial company were searching for the in India. They all were unanimously guided by all doctors about & they also confirm it on about Bembde Hospital.
Then Ramanand was shifted from Latur in a cardiac ambulance for Intensive Burns Critical Care At Bembde Hospital for Plastic, Cosmetic,Burns & Hand Surgery, Aurangabad. His medical condition was very critical due to inhalation of hot fumes & chemicals & hence needed treatment in advanced .
We treated him with best burns wound care with special imported silver dressings, support, oxygen therapy & plastic surgeries. His entire stay in was very stormy & challenging to our team! He was fighting for breath due to severe swelling of his airways , windpipe & lungs. We immediately did of face, neck, chest & both upper extremities to relieve the tension on skin, muscles, windpipe & airways.
Healing is never linear!His entire course during his further treatment was very stormy & unstable. He needed intensive burn care & critical care for shock management along with airway management. We also did for deep burn wounds & neck contracture release.
Along with chief Dr.Ramakant Bembde , Dr. Bipin Miniyar, Senior Intensivist Dr. Samidh Patel , Anesthesiologist Dr. Shrigopal Bhattad & Dr.Sushma Bembde , Pathologist Dr. Jyoti Miniyar Microbiologst Dr. Karan Ostwal, Physiotherapist Dr. Apoorva Bakshi , Diatician Mrs. Renuka Raje & our trained staff Mr. Nilesh Deshmukh, Nivrutti Sapkal, Shankar Ghule, Dipak Thorat , Raju Bharsakhale, Sanjay Suradkar, Vishnu Katare, Nandu Suradkar, Sanjay Wagh, of Bembde Hospital also played a great role in his faster healing & rehabilitations. He was discharged on 57th day after burns injury with complete healing & walking on his feet comfortably. Now Ramanand has no any deformities or contracture, so fit to join his duties very soon.
Ramanand says “I survived because of the tremendous support of & the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me!” Ramanand always feel grateful about all staff of !! Being from Uttar Pradesh, he was accompanied by only two relatives during his hospital stay , but our hospital staff including Meena, Vanita, Manisha, Swapnali, Sandhya , Vijaya, gave him all the needed moral & mental support.
Burns is going to be very important chapter in Ramanand’s life, though not the whole story!! We all thank the Family of Ramanand, his company team & all our well wishers for the trust shown in us since 1999, more than 20 years!!🙏😊
