Tripura Health and Family Welfare Secretary Kiran Gitte conducted an inspection of the newly constructed ANM Institute building at Durjoynagar on Sunday to assess its readiness for early operationalisation.
During the visit, he reviewed infrastructure, administrative arrangements, and essential facilities required for launching training programmes.

Additionally, senior officials from the Health Department, Medical Education Department, Nursing Council, and Public Works Department participated in the inspection.

The team examined classrooms, laboratories, hostel facilities, and utility services to ensure compliance with prescribed standards. Once operational, the institute is expected to strengthen healthcare education and help produce skilled nursing professionals for the state.

Health Secretary Reviews New ANM Institute in Tripura Tripura Health Secretary Kiran Gitte inspected the newly built ANM Institute at Durjoynagar to assess readiness for early operationalisation.

Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power Manohar Lal Khattar announced that more than 9,300 loans have been sanctioned under the PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme in Tripura, with beneficiaries receiving nearly ₹15 crore in financial assistance.

During his visit to the state, Khattar also revealed that the Centre will invest over ₹427 crore in urban development projects across Tripura.

Additionally, he reviewed key infrastructure, sanitation, waste management, and power sector initiatives alongside Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
The Minister further highlighted plans for rooftop solar expansion, sewage treatment projects, and proposed urban infrastructure works worth ₹1,200 crore.
These initiatives aim to strengthen urban services, improve livelihoods, and support sustainable development in the state.
