This is the qualifying event for the World Championships to be held in Genoa Italy on13~15 September

Training for the Irish coastal Rowing Championships hosted by Kilmacsimon swimming and rowing club at the national Rowing Centre in August is well underway

A big thank you to Bray Rowing Club for putting on an excellent regatta today. It was a very successful regatta for Wicklow Rowing Club with the Club bringing home a considerable amount of silver ware as well as fielding 15 crews. We had 5 of them in the under 14 category, 4 boys crews and 1 girls, it was a military like operation to get all five crews on the water together and we are very grateful to Bray RC & Greystones RC for the loan of their boats and to our coxes and coaches; Dido, Louise, Terry, Rob and Barry and also to Bernice who could not attend but did plenty of organizing in the background. We would also like to express our thanks to the parents/guardians of our junior members who were there in full voice to support and cheer them on.

1k Classic rowing championship Lough Rinn Co Leitrim
This young women just gets better and better. Huge Congratulations to Kate Dunne who yesterday became the J15 Irish Flat water Champion 🏆🥇by winning her race in the premier Irish Juniors Regatta the 1k Classic. Kates ultimate goal is to represent her club and country at the highest level . She is well on the way .

Huge congratulations to Xena Jordan who as the second youngest competitor in the European coastal rowing championships Gdansk Poland finished in 9th place in the Women’s solo category. It was a great achievement to be in Europes top ten female Coastal rowers at such a young age and you can be sure that she will have a great competitive future ahead of her representing both club and country Well done Xena from everyone at the Club .

Everyone at the club will be rooting for club member Xena Jordan who flew out to Gdańsk Poland with Team Irelands rowing team this morning to compete in the European coastal rowing championships next weekend
Xena will compete in the CW1x womens solo wearing the prized Ireland one piece. We wish her the very best of luck and will keep you all updated when the racing starts
