Members, now that the growing season is upon us, it's time to get swapping again! Swapping is a wonderful and cost free way to acquire new plants. Many of the loveliest garden plants will never be stocked in garden centres and will only ever be obtained by gardeners sharing with each other. Plus, remember the old adage 'The best way to keep a plant is to give it away' meaning that if yours should die hopefully someone else will be able to give you back a piece in the future.
Bring along potted plants, divisions, spare seedlings. Ornamentals and edibles all welcomed. Please label plants if possible. If you don't know the name, just a short description will work. The plant swap takes place after the speaker and everyone who brings plants is eligible to choose something different to bring home with them.

We are delighted to welcome Jimi Blake back to the Limerick Garden Plants Group for his talk The Art Of Creating Dynamic Shade Gardens With Succession And Layered Planting.
In this talk Jimi shares his finest woodland plants. He will explain how to grow and maintain them and how to create spectacular plant combinations for shade. Thoughtful layering with succession and evergreen structure keeps a shade garden vibrant and beautiful all year.
