⚠️ Before you order from a UK website or any website outside of the EU, watch this.

Let’s say I order a jacket and a pair of boots from a UK retailer on 26 June.

They don’t arrive in Ireland until after 1 July.

Under the new customs rules, I could have customs charges to pay when they arrive if €6.

But what happens if they don’t fit?

I send them back and ask for a different size.

The customs charge I already paid isn’t automatically refunded simply because the items were the wrong size.

And if the replacement items are treated as a new import into Ireland, there could potentially be customs charges again when the new sizes arrive. 🤯

This is why it’s becoming more important than ever to check where your order is being dispatched from before you buy.

From 1st July, the new customs rules don’t just affect parcels from China.

They can also affect purchases arriving from:
📦 The UK
📦 The USA
📦 Australia
📦 And other countries outside the EU

That means it could potentially impact online shopping from UK retailers, American websites and even some Amazon purchases, depending on where the item is being dispatched from.

The important thing to understand is this:

It’s no longer just about where you buy from.
It’s about where your parcel is coming from.

Before you click “Buy Now”, it may be worth checking where the item is being shipped from and whether additional charges could apply.

I popped into the outlet store in the Lisbon Industrial Estate today and honestly, there are some fantastic bargains to be had.

With discounts of up to 60% off normal retail prices, there was a huge selection of sofas, dining furniture, bedroom furniture, garden furniture, rugs, accessories and more.

This weekend only there’s an ⚡️EXTRA 10% OFF ⚡️sofas and dining furniture too.

One thing I really liked was the variety. The stock is constantly changing, with new pieces arriving every Monday, so every visit is different.

A big thank you to Shaun and Stephen who were incredibly helpful while I was there today. The customer service was excellent.
