We had lots of fun in our Summer Stars keyring workshop in Tallaght Library yesterday, when library staff helped children to design and create their own small personalised wooden keyring using our Makerspace equipment.

Well done everyone on all the creativity!

We are excited to announce that Tamara Johnny is our next artist on display in the Junior Exhibition Space in Tallaght Library!

Tamara is a 9-year-old artist with a vibrant and colourful collection of artwork using a range of mixed media. She finds inspiration in her beloved teddy bears, her two dogs, from walks in nature, and from the fun adventures she has with her best friend.

We are grateful to have Tamara’s work in Tallaght Library and her artwork will be on display in our Junior Exhibition space from 3rd to 28th of August.

We welcome you to explore our new exhibition titled Objects, war and memory in Ireland past and present. This piece was co-curated by seven refugees and explores how objects, poetry and art tell stories of courage, resilience, love and hope in the face of conflict and displacement. Interspersed with moving accounts of personal journeys today are the stories of objects from Kilmainham Gaol Museum, revealing resonances between the contemporary experiences of refugees and experiences of war, oppression and loss in Ireland's recent past.
We hope to see you at some point.
