We put on our dancing shoes in Tallaght Library for Cruinniú na nÓg 2026, our national day of creativity for children and young people. First up there was some wild west dancing with Conor's Coyboy Dance Workshop - yee haw! We followed that with our Pass the Dance Workshop and created quite the snappy routine if we do say so ourselves 🤗🕺💃

We’re delighted to welcome a beautiful new exhibition to our Junior Art Exhibition Space... 'The Gallery of Wonders'

Meet the young artist behind the magic: Aadya (age 11)

Aadya loves expressing her imagination through painting. Inspired by nature, colours, and everyday beauty, she enjoys creating vibrant landscapes filled with creativity. Her artwork reflects a joyful perspective on the world and a growing passion for art.

She began painting at a young age and continues to explore different styles, techniques, and colour combinations. Through her paintings, Aadya hopes to share happiness, wonder, and her unique way of seeing the world.

When she is not painting, she enjoys reading, music, spending time outdoors, and discovering new creative ideas.

These beautiful artworks will be on display throughout the month of June. Drop in anytime to enjoy them!

Join us for a special Vintage Sewing Machine Exhibition and Demonstration here at Tallaght Library on Saturday, 13th June from 12pm to 3pm.

Come along and explore a unique collection of vintage sewing machines, each with its own story and charm.

During the afternoon, there will be live demonstrations giving you a closer look at how these beautiful machines were used.

Visitors will also have the chance to try out hand crank sewing machines with our Mender in Residence — a lovely opportunity to slow down, learn something new, and connect with a traditional craft.

This is a relaxed, drop-in session, and everyone is very welcome. No booking required.
