Mikey Kelly Racing #18

Yesterday I was at Kiltorcan Raceway for the 1st round of the MI championship and unfortunately it wasn’t a good weekend

Saturday testing was very tough with the constant weather changes and the high winds

With 23 karts on track I qualified P19

Heat 1- P18 I finished P15 but got a bumper penalty from a shunt on the 1st lap.

Heat 2- DNF. There was a pile up on 1st lap at turn 1 and I was at the back of it

Final- DNF started P21 and was up to P17 and was .6 faster than I was all day. On lap 10 the breather pipe came off the fuel tank and covered me in fuel so i had to come in

Yesterday I was at Whiteriver Karting for round 1 of the TKC championship. My first proper jnr X30 race with 22 karts on track. Very happy with the results. Well done to Ben with P1 in Rotax 180 and to Robbie with P1 in snr X30

Heat 1- P12 to P15

Heat 2- P12 to P13

Final- P15 to P6

Next up MI round 1 in Kiltorcan Raceway 💪🏼

Today i was in Athboy Karting Centre for the last round of the winter championship and my first race out of the novice class

Showed great pace yesterday in the dry but the weather today made it very difficult

Practice (wet) was ok

Heat 1- (dry) - P10 to P7. I should of started on pole but the kart took a while to start which left me at the back of the grid

Heat 2- (wet) P10 to P8

Final- (wet) P7 to P9. I got a shunt into the top hairpin which left me a good bit behind

Bit disappointed with the results but it was great experience racing with the quick lads
