She said it was love at first sight when Difha met Dudley adoption day. š I wasnāt sure it was a good fit because puppies are a lot of work but we texted for a while and she convinced me she was prepared. Today they started the trial adoption and how ridiculously adorable is this carrier she got for him!
Weāll see Dudley soon as heās still getting vaccines and will be sterilized. I know heās going to be a spoiled little guy.
This family doesnāt want their dogs to have any more puppies but canāt afford to spay/sterilize them. Itās a great feeling to give them their freedom by sterilizing them: freedom from future pregnancies, and freedom to be dogs again!! ā¤ļø
I think of the beach dogs as our Outside Dogs and the safe house ones are our Inside Dogs. We love them just the same and we feed, sterilize and give the outside dogs annual vaccines, and medical treatment as needed. We're really struggling to keep up with the constant dog dumping, please message me or comment if you can be a monthly supporter- $5 or $10 monthly helps keep these guys alive.š©·
Almost every day weāre out doing these quiet, no drama sterilizations that are making big changes for the future. These dogs are living a good life in a quiet village in Bali but the owners struggle to give away all the puppies that are born from their dogs.
Now with this group of girl puppies reaching adulthood, they could have ended up with 30-40 puppies this year. Weāre happy to have gotten here in time, one of the pups was sick with blood parasites so weāll return after she finishes her meds. Everyone is now vaccinated and sterilised and hopefully will live a long, healthy life here in the countryside.š¶š

Ophelia! I canāt believe you made it to adoption! We went through all nighters syringe feeding you during parvo, then two eye surgeries, and only after that was she strong enough for regular vaccines and sterilization.
Through every challenge, she never lost her sparkle. I knew this lovely lady was her new parent when I heard her explaining to Ophelia that her other dog was picky and if Ophelia was picky she would hand feed her as well. š She always knew sheād be a princess. šš If you love what we do, please donate so we can save more Bali dogsš
This is an appreciation post for everyone who came to the adoption event and said āIām sorry I canāt adopt right now.ā If you could see the puppies more happy and settled the next day just from being held, fussed over and given treats that one night!
Masha, Labubu and Brie were dumped at the beach a few weeks ago and I took them in because their sibling was run over in front of them and they were so traumatized. Weāre doing a decent job getting them healthy but honestly donāt have time to give them enough of this!
Thank you to all of you for showing them that they are special and remember you can always foster a puppy for just a few weeks!
Huge thanks to for hosting and even fostering a puppy! And for donating so many towels for our safe house dogs to be comfy!
Welp, it was one of those days when we had to drop everything and deal with an emergency.
A friend sent me an SOS about a dog who was going to be shot for biting someone. He had been dumped at a minimarket and always slept right in front of the door. Twice he bit people stepped on or over him. The villagers reported him and were trying to find someone to shoot him.
It is true that the dog bit them, not to excuse but I do think heās stressed as he was dumped there just two weeks ago. As you can see, heās exceptionally friendly as well.
I donāt have room for an unadoptable dog but I do believe in miracles and my dear friend Ketut saved the dayā¤ļø I donāt adopt out dogs who have bitten to the general public but I asked Ketut because heās so dog savvy and I told him the full story.
He said yes instantly! We had our vet sterilize and vaccinate the dog whoās named Bolu now, then delivered him to meet his new dad and gang of doggies.
Note: I told everyone there next time thereās a bite, not to kill the dog because he needs to be observed to see if he has rabies. Also tried to get the name of who was going to shoot him but no one would tell me.
Breaking the cycle of constant litters of Bali dog puppies in this family by providing sterilisation and rabies vaccinations. This family is very kind to their dogs but there are just too many!! Just in the two days since we visited them, three of the current puppies died. Fewer puppies will free up extra money for veterinary care. And weāll be back to sterilize the little ones in a few months!
Cowboy was so scared this morning he didnāt even want to get in the car for adoption day. I thought thatās ok, today wasnāt going to be his day but heād get used to the people, and other dogs, and weād call that a win.
Then things got busy, I looked over, and there was Cowboy sitting calmly in a manās arms. He and his wife and daughter wanted to adopt him.
But they said they didnāt have a dog. I told them, āIām so sorry, but Cowboy really needs to go to a home with another dog. Heās so scared, he will panic and run away unless there was a dog there to reassure him.ā
They asked, āWhich dog is his friend?ā I said Beng Beng is his sister and favorite playmate. And⦠drumroll please⦠THEY ADOPTED BOTH. š„³ā¤ļø I canāt wait to tell mama Maisy that two of her puppies get to be in the same forever family- a happier ending than I could have hoped for! Thank you lovely humans and as always Adopt Don't Shop Bali !
