Sculptural, ceramic handmade coffee cups depict a drop of sea, stone, sun, blue sky, salt and pine trees~
They will be shipped tomorrow to an island rich in history, flora and fauna of lush southern Dalmatia and they will serve lush coffees at Le Kolac, Korcula
Each cup was made on a pottery wheel, and is completely uniquely formed and glazed~fired in oxidation, el. Kiln 1290 C

All things mysterious and dark ~ and full of iron!
The vase is ( over) fired in el. kiln/oxidation and the bowls as well as chawans are fired in reduction kiln ( lower temp woodfired, cond 7 c, but solid reduction) and then refired in oxidation on a higher temperature. The glaze that I tested is from Cazo’s lectures on glazes, therefor it is called Cazo’s Blue Rivulet Blues, in Coatian it would be translated as Potočić (Čazo’ s fav word to describe running glazes)
That type of running glaze is far more suitable on the bigger, white porcelain vessels.
I kind of like the bowls, but chawans are just too much ( creepy) for my taste. However, it’s only ceramics .. and I like it 🙃

Jaga is finishing the 3rd year of school for applied arts. This is one of many wowen textiles by her. She is finishing her costume sketch. The colours from her world matched with the colours from ceramic pieces that are here for the last inspection before being exposed at Pepel. Family is everything. 🖤🤎🐺🔥

Stackable, sculptural and wood-fired functional ceramics.
The warmth of fire traces on tablewares contributes to the warmth around the table.
Those bowls are fired in Plemenitaš, Croatia. Woods and rivers could not be greener.

Material is desert-like, bone dry, sun dried feel and the form is smeared by hands on a potter’s wheel.. spontaneous like Fever for lost romance ( stolen from one great song @ )

These are the tablewares for the restaurant of the Boškinac Hotel. Inspired primarily by the rocky landscape of the island of Pag and one of its abundant resources that the restaurant itself appreciates, and that is salt.
If I were to name this set of ceramics it would be Salt of the Earth, after a very dear documentary to me about the photographer Salgado and his wife, great environmentalists and humanists. Their works shine with that humble splendor through the greatest connection with nature and ancestral culture.
And that’s exactly what I wanted to achieve in my ceramics through my two most important elements, form and texture. The form consists of a play of conical exterior walls and edges and rounded interiors. The structure of salt and salt flats is illustrated by fireclay and local granite, adding various clays to achieve colour grades.
In cooperation with the owner of the restaurant and his chefs, it was decided not to glaze the dishes in order to emphasize the visual of the food.
Each ceramic piece is wheel-thrown, trimmed, burnished pre and post firings.
They are far from conventional, close to origin, sculptural, desert like, brutalist architecture.
Looking forward to see fresh and local Mediterranean ingredients made haute cuisine being served in this monolithic tableware.

Whole rock analysis
This is more of a poetic title. Heavily chamotte clay is shaped on a potter’s wheel, to achieve a simple yet solid sculptural form. The interior will be glazed, and the exterior of the vessel is trimmed so that the composition of the material achieves its fullness in the processed texture.

At least I was a potter until two weeks ago, but I'm not sure if this is the case anymore. I had to flee my home and my studio. On the 24th of February, I woke up at 5 am to the sounds of rocket shelling on Kyiv. I woke up my husband and said to him "Russia has attacked". Since then, we live in what seems to be a never-ending nightmare. I'm sure you have seen the news.
While our army and volunteers do everything possible and impossible to resist the invasion, ceramicists of Ukraine also try to help our people. There are several ways to provide support from abroad if you're willing to help:
