CYCLE ulazi u novu jesensku klupsku sezonu s 51. partyem. Novi klub, novi koncept, ali ista politika. Dosadašnji CYCLE partiji bili su isključivo platforma za predstavljanje nekih od najboljih domaćih i regionalnih DJ-a, ali s novom sezonom i novim klubom malo mijenjamo koncept. Ove sezone predstavit ćemo vam neke od DJ za koje smatramo da predstavljaju najbolje iz europske i svjetske house/techno zajednice. Prvi gost je pariški DJ - Aleqs Notal!
Iako relativno mlad, Aleqs Notal je već DJ veteran s 20 godina iskustva u DJ boothu i top izdanjima za neke od najboljih labelova današnjice (Sistrum, Visions…). Percussion freak, kako sam sebe opisuje, njegovo svako novo izdanje prepuno je klupskih stvari za svaki dio večeri u kojima se jasno prepoznaju klasični utjecaji Detroita i Chicaga kombinirani s kompleksnim i melodičnim svijetom Ron Trent/Trinidadian Deep deep housea.
Kao DJ dugo je držao rezidenciju na Rinse FMu , a zadnjih godina ima redovne podcaste za razne platforme. Njegovi live setovi i podcasti nepogrešivo daju uvid u utjecaje koje jasno prenosi na produkciju – opskurni deep house dragulji, house klasici prošarani s organskim i živim perkusijama i deep Detroit techno pločama – uvijek beskompromisno i energično – točno onako kako mi to volimo.
Aleqs Notalu pridružit će se CYCLE domaćini Jan Kinčl i Matija Duić, a večer će otvoriti mladi, up and coming DJ Lovro Baletić.

Three different projects Cycle Studio, in collaboration with Fabris Audio Studio, produced during 2021 got nominated for the Elector Awards, and all three won the award.

Proud to be a part of this project. During lockdown, Phillie dug deep and found some long lost gold on tapes. Tracks which are a testament of an embryonic phase in Zagreb’s soon-to-become hip hop scene. Naturally, Phillie turned those fragments into a compilation album, and we were, in collaboration with Fabris Audio - Music Production Studio Berlin, in charge of restoring and mastering the material. Admittedly, it was equally one of the most complex and exciting projects we worked on during 2021.

After spending most of 2020 putting music out on respected labels like Far Out Recordings, Sonar Kollektiv and Oye Black Label, Croatian producer Jan Kincl is kick starting 2021 with a 4-track EP featuring a remix from Atlanta-based house don Kai Alcé. The EP is titled "It's Been A While" and consists of three original pieces; "Love's So Far Away" is a direct peak time club track drawing a lot of its influences from the raw and dirty side of Detroit house music. "Day By Day" sits somewhere on the cross section between deep house, broken beat and jazz, with Regis Kattie's beautiful Rhodes melody woven throughout the track. "Just Stay (Kai Alcé Remix)" is a masterful reinterpretation of "Just Stay", which transforms the otherwise more laidback original into a driving 3am house tune. "Just Stay (Dub)" is best described as a connecting point between A1 and A2. Jan's raw house groove juxtaposed with a deep and subtle jazz feel coming from the hands of Regis Kattie.

Rimac Concept Two | Early 2018 we got approached by Rimac Automobili to write an original piece for a Geneva Motor Show presentation of their, then-upcoming, model Concept Two. In the end, our submission didn't make the cut but we always enjoyed our take on this particular project. It's a bit rough around the edges as we didn't reach the point of fine tuning but we still think it's dope.

50th anniversary of Radojka Šverko’s ‘Kud Plovi Ovaj Brod’ was approaching, and Croatia Records asked us to do a remix for the special re-release. The song is a chanson classic with a unique place in Croatian music folklore so we submitted 2 versions: a traditional reinterpretation, with added string, brass, and flute arrangements, and a hip hop instrumental remix.

Adriatic Social Club is one of those spots and it’s a special kind of enjoyment for me every time I play there.
