Build Your House on the Rock

24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

If you are not reading the Word of God, Jesus' Words. Then how will you know if you are building your house (You) on rock or sand? As Paul the Apostle says in Romans 12:2, don't be conformed by this world but instead be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Only Gods Word has the power to transform us, it will renew your mind so that you walk in Him and not in the world.

Be a WISE Man/Woman, read the Word, renew your mind and build your house on rock..

The love that God has for us is more then we can ever imagine. If you would only let Him completely into your heart, you will find a peace and love that you have never experienced before. A hope and joy that will fill all your days..

As John 3:16-17 says.. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

All you need to do is believe in Him. That choice He puts in your hands..

If we are to live our life for ourselves, for our own purpose and for the desires of this world. Then we know that the outcome from our life is death. As Jesus says, whoever seeks to save his life, will lose it (Luke 17:33).

But if we are to give our lives to God as a living sacrifice to serve Him, for His purpose not our own (and whoever loses his life will save it, Luke 17:33). Then we know that just as our Lord Jesus gave His life as a sacrifice for many. Then we also, having given our life too, will be blessed by His abundant mercy and the hope that we will be resurrected after death, just as the Father resurrected His son, Jesus. A living hope to all that believe..

Romans 12:1-2 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

There are many things that can cause us to fear in the world. We have just witnessed how a virus can create so much fear around the world. The world loves to create fear in our minds and of course we have the fear within us. Jesus tells us not to worry, to trust in Him and in 2 Timothy 1:7 we are told that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Fear is a snare, it's a trap and it can stop us in our path. Don't let the fear within, the fear of man, fear of the world and fear from the devil stop you from trusting in God. We are told to put on the full armour of God, to be bold and courageous in our walk of faith. Always trusting in Him and spreading the love of the gospel to all, in the hope that everyone comes to our Lord. For God doesn't wish for anyone to perish, but for all to be saved. And we should wish the same..

If we say we believe then we know that our faith and trust in our Lord brings hope that all things that happen to us, good or bad; are according to His will, for His glory and for our benefit. As He does all things to work for the good of those that love Him (Romans 8:28).

When we are filled with the love of our Lord, there isn't anything else we need. All that is left to do, is to REJOICE!

He is our rock, our strength. The cornerstone from which we are built into His image. All we need to do is look to Him, trust in Him and He will be our help..
