Guyana Lupus Plus Foundation Inc.

May this year once again we celebrate lupus awareness month. The Guyana Lupus Plus Foundation Inc. will be launched shortly albeit in time for the recognition of the month put aside for patients who suffer from not solely lupus but additionally its connected and interlinked conditions which are many and varied.

Our Board of Directors has been pulled together to encapsulate individuals with legal(company secretary), spiritual or religious (2) psychiatry/neuroscience, psychology, two nutritionists, nursing and swimming for a fitness aspect. It is hoped that we can and our actions should influence the care of a wide cross spectrum of patients as our primary goal.

Given my own personal background and the varied background of the Board of Directors I have envisioned that it may be possible to extend once again the scope and ambit of the foundation to encapsulate patients, elderly, environment and orphans.

I had hope to personally fund the association with some of my returned fees after my withdrawal from the LLM however nothing the slowness of the Guyanese Judiciary I may have to wait two more months in that regard. I will use my vacation money for one reason. Even while mom was alive and I had two visas for the US and Canada they wouldnt let me come for medical attention or a vacation. This time I want my money spent to count for something.

This is an investment in others. May the seed of hope I water grow from strength to strength.
