What does it mean to be a champion of human rights?
I think its having a full understanding that we as humans were born into certain privileges regardless of who we are or where we're at...
But for one to achieve the "champion" accolade I believe they must demonstrate strong advocacy for those rights because merely having a thorough understanding and not acting on those skills would not serve it's full purpose.

Hi Everyone, welcome to Day #2 of the March Training. We will be looking first at Driver Diagrams. You should have the handout which I attached pictures of below. Last month we looked at the first page, Aims. Today Rehanah will do a short presentation on Driver Diagrams, which is the second page.

She will be posting a video shortly with the explanation. I'm really happy she will be doing this presentation so let's show her some love...

Dear YCMTW family!

A few announcements and updates. We feel that we must respond appropriately to the needs of our communities and that stopping the program will be totally opposite to that. The threat of the COVID 19, as well as the political instability, is proving to be a real threat to our daily life and community. The real test and the challenge for us as youth are how we will now respond to our present situation. For now, we are making the following adjustments to the program:

1. Based on the turnout today, we will discontinue in-person trainings including this weekend. So if you were attending this afternoon or tomorrow, WE WILL NOT BE HAVING SESSIONS AT SCHOOL OF THE NATIONS, you can JOIN ONLINE through our Facebook Live sessions on our page YCMTW 2020.

2. For continuing the training long term, with the sessions on Facebook live and smaller Ruhi Groups where you would meet up online with your tutor. For those that are already in a Ruhi Group, your tutor will be responsible for arranging how you meet, for example on Skype, Zoom or Whatsapp. So please look out for that, we will be making arrangements with the tutors in the next few days.

We still need to support each other as a network of youth so we are relying on you to be resourceful, responsible and think about putting our fellow Guyanese and human beings in general first and being of service. We look forward to seeing you online and hearing from you and about your stories. Look out for updates in emails and on page.

Warmest regards,
Louisa Mancey
