Finger lickin flavours from our indigenous people. Pepperpot & Tuma.

Pepperpot (the dark coloured one) is made using cassareep , while tuma is made using cassava water or kada. Both ingredients are byproducts of the cassava.

Let's hear your stories about Guyana

I was born in Guyana, and migrated to NY when I was six years old. One thing I always loved about it here, is the red water creeks and endless rivers, especially since my backyard is the Demerara river. But as I started to meet other people from different countries, I was met with a lot of jokes about Guyana and about how our water is brown and not blue like everyone else’s. I learned recently that Georgetown, Guyana lies about six feet below sea level so the water is brown like the melanin in our skin. It’s filled with a brown richness because of the “silt and soil from three great rivers, Brazil’s Amazon, Venezuela's Orinoco and Guyana's largest river, the Essequibo”

So no our waters are not crystal clear and blue like many Caribbean’s, but it’s pure and natural, beautiful in its own way. & the word “Guyana” has actually derived from the word “Guiana” meaning land of many waters! That ends my lesson for the day loll thanks for reading ❤️

Able to develop a specific computer science curriculum with various classes that would entail teaching children between 10 and 18 years of age game programming, app programming, logic, and critical thinking. Many of the classes will be online driven in a webinar format. The instructor must have the strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and technological skills.
