Sources tell me the USV drone discovered off the coast of was carrying approximately 70 kilograms of explosives. While the USV’s intended target remains unclear, such a payload on its own would likely be insufficient to inflict critical damage on a large tanker.
On Thursday a Magura V5 boat was discovered off the coast of Lefkada by local fishermen. The USV drone was retrieved by the Hellenic Coast Guard, with assistance from Armed Forces personnel. Greece’s Armed Forces are now handling the case.

When a Russian FPV drone was heading straight toward his younger siblings, the 12-year old boy didn’t freeze. He noticed the fiber-optic control wire trailing behind it and made a split-second decision to cut it, forcing the drone to crash before it could reach them.
This was not a cinematic moment or a clever trick. FPV drones are often used as explosive weapons, and getting close to one carries a real risk of death.
What stays with you is not just the hero-moment, but the fact that a child had to be that brave at all. This is the reality for civilians living in war zones. Children are not just playing outside. They are learning to recognize deadly threats in the sky and reacting in moments where hesitation can cost your and your family’s life.

An 89-year-old man carried out two shootings in Athens on Tuesday, injuring five people. He used a shotgun, which he abandoned at the scene of the second attack. Police later arrested him in Patras, where he was found carrying a revolver, loaded with six rounds.
The suspect, identified as P.K., was allegedly planning to flee to Italy via Patras, according to police sources. He is reported to have taken a taxi from Athens to Patras, a journey of around 215 km.

In the early hours of Friday, about 361 migrants were rescued or arrived south of , including on the small island of Gavdos. Local media report the boats departed from Libya carrying migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sudan and Egypt.
Authorities say the boat departed from eastern , a major departure point used by smuggling networks that send migrants across the Mediterranean toward Europe.
Unlike Le**os, Chios, Samos, Kos and Leros islands, Crete does not yet have a dedicated migrant reception facility.
